    Silly question- the roof?

Not a silly question at all! This is a 'pet peeve' of mine and yes the roof of taller vehicles is often ignored by the owners (some of my family members included). Ask around to anyone that washes their trucks or vans and everything above the head is often ignored in a routine wash. Let me...

How would you clean these? -The Rubber on Running Boards

I am impressed with the Griots Garage foaming tire cleaner from my Weathertech mats. I would do a test spot with a light brush or just a MF towel. Those running boards look very dry and brittle. Would avoid using anything aggressive (no electric brushes Mike LOL) with any product choice. Then...

Help me set realistic expectations for myself

BF One Step and a Microfiber is a combination I have used and worked fine. But do try the orange pads first, and switch them often, as Mike Phillips teaches, clean pads cut better.

    Older Honda Accord using GG9

That car looks great now and it is showing a bit of love! Super pick of products and tools! That Blackfire One Step is a perfect base and then any wax or sealant just keeps the car in top shape. Love that very unique color on a Honda, looks new again. Keep up the great work, you'll be busy...

Can you help How to remove mold from car interior

I agree with Mike's reaction! However, this video by Larry Kosilla (Ammo NYC) shows the steps he faced in getting his personal car ready to sale with similar problem. YouTube Larry seems to take on big jobs like this and has several videos on this topic that might show all he does to...

Recently purchased Griots G9 - pad not spinning. Confirm its just user error.

I too had time this past weekend to try both my new G9 and G8. I had both of the previous models and was comfortable using them. But as much as these are new machines, I discovered that not running them above speed-4 then they are very sensitive to stalling the rotation. First rule as Mike...

Constant battle against tar spots on doors.. sealants not working. any tips?

I would grab either Lacquer Thinner on a MF towel or even cheaper, use a bit of gasoline on those spots as it is cheap now. If no reaction, then that is really bonded contaminated! Did you try any iron remover products, just curious.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Bruno, You stated use the Carpro Quartz UK3.0 and then Gliss v2. Did you do only one coat of each, or have you tried two layers of CQuartz then a topper? Curious Kirby

    Aqua Wax

I follow Brian at Apex Detail but none of his recent videos cover that product name. Plus it is NOT AG-store product, he often buys them from many retailers and sites. Not sure of any 'GLOW' product he has that would be either a wax or sealant. Check the name again please, Brian always does...

    Buffer Recommendation

I used my G9 this weekend and it is a very nice improvement over the previous model, G6. I have it using the 5-inch backing plate as most of what I do that size works great. The machine does tend to stall the rotation on my hood when the pad was set to about speed 4 and hit another hood angle...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finally took time to try a new coating in my Lexus with PPF film on the hood and front bumpers. PPF has been on the car hood for 2-years at this time and did have a few rock chips that tore into the PPF. Carpro SKIN has been on for just over 6-months and has done well but lacked the slickness...

Bird drops and bugs on ceramic coating

A very easy method would be to place a simple sponge or MF towels that has been soaked with water over the dropping(s). Give a few minutes to saturate the poop and then try to gently wash it off. If it baked on give it a bit more time to soak. Most of the bug products if applied to...

    Washing inside door jams

If it has grease or oil based then try any detailing engine cleaning product to strip that away. Once you have that done then an all purpose cleaner or just rinse less can be used going forward. AG has lots of products but since you are wanting it now, Super Clean can be found at Walmart. You...

UDOS Testing Truck - 1946 Dodge Panel Truck - Machine Damp Sanding

Great before pictures Mike, From the 3-foot distance that street rod looks great. But as you show, do not get close and inspect the paint. Hopefully they left plenty of clear coat (assumption is it has it). So with all that work when you apply the final touches you will have to put a filter...
