IIRC Gorilla Glass has a special coating on it that aids with the scratch resistance of the glass. Any polishing will likely remove this special coating and leave your phone's screen even more susceptible to scratches in the future.

I usually go through about 4 or 5 of the 4" applicator cloths per layer of CQuartz. And I'll usually use about 2 or 3 microfiber towels for leveling and wiping off the coating (per layer).
