Trouble removing stains from flower petals

The sun's gone down so unfortunately no pics today. I mean to describe it elementary terms. It's like ghosts of flower petals on my hood. You can't feel them at all either . I think I had a an issue like this last year but remember them just going away over time from washing or more rain

Etchings don't go away.I agree with PualA.Try a good paint cleaner.

Update guys! Last night I went to town with some 'HD water spot remover' made my MOC, applied with a foam hand pad and it took some time, and unexpected pressure, but it did cure problem by about 98%, some stubborn ones are only ever so slightly there at an angle. So it looks basically perfect again. Applying that did do a number on the paint with lots of scratches so I followed it up with ultimate polish and then topped it first with mother's California syn wax and then collinite 845. Looks like a mirror and so so smooth

How can a consumer product be better than a professional product? Or ask Mike Phillips of Autogeek. He use to work for Meguiars

How do you define better? They have different cut profiles, one is not better or worse. it's just different. M205 is a finer polish than UP and M105 is a more aggressive compound than UC. But all 4 are excellent products.

M105 has more cutting ability than Ultimate cut does therefore better at removing defects. M205 refines the area that M105 is used on. Each has their place in a detailing arsenal. M105 and M205 served me very well at removing and refining my swirl and RIDS that were in my clear coat when I purchased my truck. I tried UC and UP but had to move up M105, M205.

Just to chime in on the discussion going on about the cut and finish of some Megs products...

This article is now over 7 years old.... still some good info but certainly could use updating...

The Aggressiveness Order of SMAT Products - This might surprise you!

Super Micro Abrasive Technology = SMAT
From left to right, the most aggressive to the least aggressive SMAT products
SMATaggressivenessOrder.jpg

From the most to the least aggressive...
M105 Ultra-Cut Compound/M95 Speed Cut Compound = The same in abrading power
Ultimate Compound
ScratchX 2.0
M86 Solo Cut & Polish Cream
D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream
SwirlX
M205 Ultra Finishing Polish

Now instead of SCANNING... (like we're all prone to do on discussion forums), read the below very carefully.

The order shown here is relative, to the idea that if all things were equal, if all influencing factors could be controlled and be identical when using these products.

That of course is impossible because some of these products are only recommended for use with a rotary buffer while some of these products are only recommended for use by hand or with a dual action polisher. So if we were to follow the manufactures recommendations then we wouldn't be able to compare all of these products side-by-side because in some examples they cannot be used in an equal manner.

Does that make sense?

This article is just to give you a GENERAL idea for the aggressiveness of these products when relatively compared to one another. The way a product is applied, (by hand or machine and if by machine the type of machine), and the application material used to apply the products, (foam, wool, wool/acrylic blend, cotton, microfiber), are both HUGE factors that will and do affect how aggressive a product is or isn't.

So keep this in mind when considering which product to choose and use for your detailing project.

Also keep in mind this is a very diverse group of products, all of these products except the D151 PRC are products with the dedicated purpose of removing below surface defects like swirls, scratches and other etchings and blemishes.

The D151 is a one-step cleaner/wax that has the ability to remove below surface defects, polish the paint to a high gloss and then leave behind a coating of protection.

Any questions?
