The Mustang looks good after correction; ultimate compound is pretty good stuff... have used it on a couple of newer cars to take care of scratches, etc. My first thoughts take me to Mckees 37 Coating as I've applied it to 3 new cars and have to suggest that for better/longer-lasting protection...

Well said, Klasse... I'd have to agree having seen lesser cars driven by " lesser " drivers cause too many problems/hazards for everyone else on the road. The stories will probably be forthcoming... but we can hope not anyway.

Amen to the previous observations; saw an idiot this morning almost lose a charger trying to be cute taking a corner; the challenges will be the drivers' trying to hold it straight, which is probably its best direction of travel, but we'll hear about its abilities no doubt.

or could use a detailing spray or waterless wash after washing the car to remove water run off and grime... that may eliminate the need to dry either the paint from washing the wheels or the wheels from car washing.

+1 for Megs Fast Finish... LSP couldn't be any easier and using after Ultimate Polish on Black = black mirror; but no claims on durability since I don't regularly see the one car I've used it on.

I've only snow foamed after rinsing... always thought it was the way to do it... rinsing off anything that would interfere with the snow foams cleaning ability; maybe that is all the difference it takes, but I'd bet on the sun factor being more of a concern.

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done? I work at the rather large club as a trainer... mostly clients with issues as I've lived with many for years. Last workout was Kettlebell Deadlifts, stability ball push-ups, shoulder ( rotator-cuff ) work, etc.

also looking forward to the findings... why not Griots One-Step sealant as well... been around awhile....

Optimum Paint Prep Spray

If it is a rubberized type rustproofing, I've had great success using TW label and sticker remover spray... believe it is citrus based and has done no harm to surfaces I've used it on.

Just used the sample Nick was kind enough to send me; good stuff! no discernable smell or residue; cleaned some tough spots with a second application and the matte surface looks exactly the same as before cleaning, except clean.

Nick, I have a 3M 1080 matte black vinyl roof wrap on my Camry; bugger to keep clean... so, up to experimenting.

MadMax... that looks like bad stuff; if you really wanted to do your best w/o replacing, I'd wet-sand the trim with 800/1000 grit - tapering edges of missing clear - ( tape off ) surrounding paint/truck... and can either paint black again or clear ( good clear I've gotten from autotouchup.com )...

I've also used it and does a decent job of cleaning for less than $4; it doesn't offer any protection, per Armor All ... who also have a natural finish protectant... haven't tried personally.
