Do you own a vehicle with a MATTE finish paint job / vinyl wrap? I think I've finally got a formula nailed down but I need feedback from other people before I can sign off on it. :)

Post a picture of your matte finish vehicle please. I'll select a few testers early next week. :dblthumb2:

I have a friend with a Camaro SS 1LE with a black vinyl matte hood. I personally would have ripped that wrap right off when I bought the car, but thats just me!

I have a matte black Harley, it gets pretty dirty sitting at work...lots of dust/industrial fall out and gets full of dead bugs. Been using the Harley brand denim cleaner but would certainly test out a new one.

hi nick, i work in a shop with a wrap company. i detail all of their vehicles before delivering to the customer. i am very interested in a matte detail spray for testing. i see 3-5 matte and satin wrapped vehicles a week.

If you desperately need some more testers I have a friend with a satin black Impala that I'm sure I could test it out on. I've never worked on a matte or satin car but if you need someone to test it I'm definitely willing too

Nick, I have a 3M 1080 matte black vinyl roof wrap on my Camry; bugger to keep clean... so, up to experimenting.

Nick..I have a Dodge Charger coated with Crystal coat.. it has matte black rims that could use some tlc and i have a matte white Mercedes S550 with Gloss coat on it. I see both the vehicles on a regular basis. If i can help in any way let me know. Always happy to do what i can.

I'll get some pics but our 66 gto has just the hood scoop and a few other things matte.

There is a guy here in my local car club with a wrapped Matte silver boosted 2 door Honda Accord. Shouldn't be any issue getting with him to perform some testing.

Just used the sample Nick was kind enough to send me; good stuff! no discernable smell or residue; cleaned some tough spots with a second application and the matte surface looks exactly the same as before cleaning, except clean.

Here's my review. I just used it on my 2013 Harley Davidson FXDB with factory black denim paint. I've only ever used the Harley denim cleaner on the paint, so I'm pretty familiar on how a matte finish cleaner should work. To save time I also use it on the painted/powder coated surfaces and the little chrome that the bike has on it.

Matte Finish Detal Spray Pros:
-Excellent cleaning power. Like really good...way better than the harley stuff. Cuts thru bugs effortlessly, even on the painted surfaces.
-Leaves nothing behind but a clean surface. All the paint was left with a nice matte, smooth surface with no added shine.
-Works on all surfaces. This stuff made quick work on all the bugs that were on my fork lowers, handle bars, mirrors and also cleaned up the wheels nicely.
-Did I mention the excellent cleaning ability?

Cons:
-A little streaky. Using a two towel method helps, but it doesn't "evaporate" off the paint like the harley branded stuff does. You really have to go over it a couple of times with a dry towel to get it to disappear. With the harley stuff I can spray it on, wipe it with one towel, flip the towel and give it another quick wipe then the left over wet streaks will disappear rather quickly. This spray will kind of do the same thing except it does't seem to want to evaporate as quickly, and if you don't wipe it down enough it'll want to streak a little bit. Another dry towel will knock down any streaks.

Here are a couple of before and after pics

There was no really effort required to get the bugs off the painted surfaces. I've used other detail sprays before on the non matte parts of this bike before and this detail spray cut the bugs better than any of them. I'll deff keep using this as my "total" bike cleaner because it works so well on all the different surfaces of the bike. Prob could use a minor tweak, but it's still pretty good as is.
