I find it funny to find so much resistance to toppers on a coating when many manufacturers produce products for just this reason.

Well I guess I'm a felon and wasting my time but when a customer loves the way PNS makes some coatings "pop" and returns for that service I'm glad to top the coating after inspecting the paint for any recent defects. My customers are told this is for appearance only and no other claims are offered.

You will also find ONR does a good job of interior cleaning. Wet down a mf towel for hard plastic , vinyl and headliners.

I love to use Sonax Polymer Net Shield as a coating topper and a stand alone product. When in a hurry I will use some hydro2. I just wish the hydro lasted a little longer.

I have sold my three Griots 6" machines and now have the older Megs g100v2 , Rupes 21 , older PC , Rupes LR75 and LR75e. For vibration free correction you won't beat the Rupes machines IMO. I did have the chance to do a test spot with the MT300 and it was comparable to the older Megs...

When considering matching pad size to backing plate size Kevin Brown has written a article about using exact size backing plates and it's advantage. IMO this is for those that have the experience and feel comfortable with no edge cushion. I have a few of the cut down bp's and they do a great job...

Is it anodized or stainless steel trim ? My experience with a 63 1/2 fastback Galaxie was stainless trim and quite common in that era.
