    Carpet brush for a drill

The brushes made for a DA have threads that will get chewed up by a drills chuck as well as possibly damage it. I've also picked up a number of drill brushes from amazon.

Wheel Cleaner - Looking for Recommendation

+1 for the griots HD. Works quite well and doesn't break the bank. I use it almost exclusively unless the wheels are REALLY bad. Then they get either 3D BDX or wheel brightener depending on the surface

    HD Adapt Issue

Are you working in the sun? Only time I had issues with short work time and drying out was when I tried to use it in direct sunlight. Pulled into the garage and had no issues

    Spots on dashboard

Try a more powerful cleaner such as an APC or even a plastic/vinyl cleaner. Those AIO type products for interior's generally aren't very strong at all. They are great at removing light smudges and dust, but when you need to remove a dressing or any real type of dirt they just can't do it I...

If you can only have one..

A good rotary. Much bigger learning curve but a single rotary paired with many different pad/backing plate sizes can handle everything. In terms of versatility, you really can't compare to a rotary (in the right hands)

    Pressure Washer Recommendations?

Stay away from karcher. I had 2 units fail on me. First within about 3 months of maybe once a week use, it's replacement made it a little over a year before it called it quits. They both were working fine then one day I go to use it and it wouldn't turn on anymore. Worst part is they both quit...

Am I not supposed to spray Tar X on headlights?

I guess not... good to know and thanks for sharing! I'm always weary of tar removers when it comes to any plastics. At least you were able to clear it up for your customer

Help! Having the hardest time removing caked and baked on dirt from exterior of car.

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/103652-anyone-know-how-remove-really-bad-baked-dirt-dried-rainwater.html No need to post 2 threads. Same answer in both. CC failure

Anyone know how to remove really bad baked on dirt and dried rainwater?

Agreed. CC failure It should also be mentioned, the more you work on it, the worse it will get. Sanding, compounding or polishing will only remove more clear coat and accelerate the failure rate

2015 Accord EX-L Coupe, multi-step paint correction, nasty dealer holograms

Awesome work! Kind of surprising to hear they were able to get the dealer to pay for some of the work. At least they owned up to it

    Fire truck price!!

I think thats one hell of a work load, take lots of pictures and good luck! I would agree that $250/day is a good number. If you have 3 guys working, you'll want to adjust that number accordingly.

    Detailing advertising?

I personally get most of my business through google. I've tried promoting my Facebook page with minimal success but I believe I'm targeting the wrong people. Haven't looked too much into it. I'll be following this for any tips that may be shared.

    '17 370z & My Love/Hate Relationship with Essence

Ah ok you had already washed the car. That was one big part of what I didn't understand. I wouldn't think to do something like that on a dirty car lol. Thanks for clarifying

suggestions for these deeper swirl marks?

Eventually your pad will get saturated with product and this is very bad for pads to continue to use them like that. You will want 3-4 pads minimum to do a whole car. Otherwise you'll want to stop, clean your pad (more than just brush it) then continue with a clean pad. I would still brush it...

Excellent work! Gorgeous car! You mentioned you washed it with iron x paste. I'm a little confused as to what you meant by that. How does that work? I have a bottle of it but wouldn't think to use it to "wash" a car

    UPGP on rims?

Have you thought about using hydr02? I know I'm not the only one who uses it for sealing wheels (actually that's all I use it for). Doesn't get much easier to apply (spray on, rinse off forcefully)

    Getting paint off of tires

It's in the tread? As in the part of the tire on the road? If that's the case, maybe drive down a dirt road or something. Yeah you'll need to wash your car again but that's easier than cleaning paint out of the treads of your tire

Carbon Build up by exhaust, cleaning suggestions

Try least agressive first before reaching for a compound. Maybe try a paint cleaner like my personal favorite Poorboys Pro Polish using a microfiber towel or something. Otherwise just try a light polish and it should clean right up.
