No need to justify it. It's GOOD STUFF

Figures...just ordered about $250 of GYEON stuff (Rim, Prep, Cure, Iron) 2 weeks ago directly from them...Doh!

Who knows anything about this "Gyeon"? II never heard of it, who makes it?

Ok, we need pics of order when it arrives and reviews...

The clear bottles with the colored liquids are very cool looking. Currently in process of coating rims on 2 cars with GYEON Q2 RIM; used the Iron to decontaminate them before, the CURE to give 'em a little more protection afterward. Just finished one set (chrome) a few days ago so hard to say the longevity/ease of cleaning going forward. Just for the heck of it, shot some of the IRON Remover on a daily driver Mazda3 painted wheel with stains on it; did a pretty fair job of removing stains...I was impressed anyway (especially considering I sprayed it on and forgot about it for a few hours).

I guess the Q2 Rim is high-temp Quartz-like coating for wheels; i applied it to wheels and painted calipers.

Edit: They also indicate it is durable enough to withstand the use of some wheel cleaners...if even necessary.

Glad to see them here finally! As I said elsewhere, it will be hard to restrain. OTOH, I am running low on some Gyeon products...

I wonder what the difference is between these two coatings: Prime and Mohs

One is SiO2 based, and one is ceramic based. Both offering "up to 12 months" protection.

How about that Q2 Durabead?

Oh, I see... Only Pro distributors.

Awesome sale!! But what's going on with the increase to $175 for free shipping? When did this happen?

Simple answer: shipping costs have increased quite a bit in the past year or so. AG does a lot of shipping with UPS, as does the place I work at, and thanks to places (Amazon in particular) shipping things in needlessly huge boxes (at least 3x the size they need to be), UPS has started to crack down on it. For instance, at my workplace we now have to enter the size of the box when shipping something, and the shipping cost now goes up in correlation with the size versus the old system based on package weight alone. Little things like this add up in the long run, so AG needs some way to offset costs.

Their difference? Let's see:

There are many, many ceramic-based
materials that have, at their core, Silica (SiO2).

Disclaimer:
I am not a Ceramicist.
