    Incredibly Cheap Finds

Thanks. I picked up a whole bunch of bottles dirt cheap somewhere and they are just taking up space on the shelf. I'll try it on paint the next time I need to decon.

Bulk product do they go off?

I also buy everything possible by the gallon and never worry about something expiring.

    Testing...Testing---TR6

That is one bad-ass car, depending on the year. Classic British sports car engineering, IRS, stout engine (for its day), great handling, real wood trim dash and great lines.

    Best Glass Coating?

The test is whether or not you can turn your wipers off above 35 mph in the rain. Rain-X doesn't allow this in my experience. I've used McKee's and I can often turn off the wipers in light rain while on the highway. You can't turn them off in a downpour but with light rain the beads just blow...

Can you check the page source for the errant link? If it looks OK then your DNS might be messed up. It may be your carrier's sniffers tracking your activity.

    Best Glass Coating?

I use McKee's but I also prep the glass thoroughly. I use clay and Griots polish and McKees Glass Restorer (using DA) prior to McKees Glass Coating. Once I stopped cutting corners and did a thorough job the coating has been really good. If your glass has any flaws whatsoever any coating is...

Meguiars D120 Glass Cleaner-Of course it’s safe for tinted glass

Are you talking about straight up V07? I have 1.5 gallons left and I've been looking for a use for it. It doesn't streak or have any ill effects on interior glass? I'll have to mix up a batch and try it. I've been using V07 for door jambs, under the hood, etc. but 1.5 gallons is not being...

    Microfiber swirls

Old school means old school. It refers to technology in this case that was available decades ago. Oftentimes, there is nothing wrong with this as long as you have expectations and are using the current technologies that were normalized decades ago. When you're mixing modern (newer clear...

Mixing Meg’s APC with car wash to strip paint

Without knowing anything about the chemistry of APC and shampoo, I agree that there is a chance that these two products might interact and generate a bad outcome. Might be better to hit it with APC first and then shampoo after.

    Microfiber swirls

Unless your towels are severely contaminated or they are defective they should not be causing this much problem. I would consider trying a different product on your test panel to see if the same swirling behavior happens. If not, then it is probably the 3M products. If it does then it is...

    Dr Beasley’s headlight treatment

In my experience it means that you're not getting all of the surface sanded off if the yellowing comes back that fast. Are you sanding and if so what grit are you using? Regarding flashing, a minute is probably long enough before you wipe the residual off.

    Sun-friendly Products

Some of us have to work in the sun. It is unavoidable, just like some of us have to work without water or under severe water-restrictions. What wash/wax/glass/AIO products works well for you in the sun? I realize coatings, sealants and other products will never work well in the sun so I'm...

    Super slick QD/drying aid?

It is pretty expensive per oz, right, compared to Uber and all of the rinseless/waterless dilution concoctions? A gallon (4 bottles) is over $80. $80 for a gallon of Uber is going to yield 40 gallons of QD or 40x cheaper per oz./gal.

    Help me spend money

One thing I noticed about McKee's is that it tends to be very tolerant of extreme conditions, especially for those of us who can't avoid direct sunlight. I have never had any problems with any McKee's product in the sun, perhaps with the exception of Hydro Blue. Can't be said for a lot of...

    Help me spend money

My advice to someone new would be to choose one of the house brands (McKees or Wolfgang would be a good start) and try them out. There are others that are also relatively easy to apply, use and remove (i.e. Optimum, Meguiars, Griots, etc.) and people have good luck with them. On a scale of...
