I would compare the MS3 to the Cobalt SS/TC and Dodge Caliber SRT-4. I would go with a WRX OP. Personally I'd get the EVOX before any of them but out of the 2 you stated, my opinion is the WRX due to AWD and Upstate gets some nasty winters sometimes.
