Just want to make sure you understand that wax is not what makes a car shiny. To have it as you would want it, you would need to wash, clay and decontaminate the paint and correct it. When corrected, single stage paint would give off some of the oils to the paint. Sometimes if it is oxidized...
Down in FL you guys get bugs and maybe some rust. However up in NYC area you get snow, rust, rain, acid rain, pollution, fallout, tar, tree sap and everything. Its hard on cars honestly
People coming in and expecting a car to be cleaned for a dirt cheap price when their car is totally trashed inside and out. The people who have no idea what they are doing and also the ones saying you are wasting your time.
This was the hood of a family members car. The inside was okay but the outside was really bad.
Sprayed 3d bdx on the hook and let it soak. Turned dark purple almost immediately. 3D already knows about it through their social media but dont know if the community would want to see.
Its a great...
Great job, loving the new raptors, the engine makes 450 hp and 510 ft lbs off a ttv6 mated to a 10 speed automatic. Im pretty sure the same setup will power the new Lincoln Navigator
One of my suggestions is a werner platform and a montana boars hair wash brush. I use the 10 inch one and a hardwood quickie brand pole from home depot. Very good combo and makes it easier to do larger vehicles.
By the way, Im wondering what werner everyone does get. Almost all my clients are...
Definitely not. The lowes and walmart buckets cannot fit the grit guard as the circumference does not all for it to fit snug on the bottom. Some are also lower quality. Often you can get 2 homer buckets for 5 dollars and and third for the wheels if need be
Worked on some of the rogue.
Basically did a heavy wheel cleaning, vac and wipedown of surface and glass, foam wash, 2 bucket wash, iron decon which was real bad and a clay. I only had barely 5 hours to do all this. Next time ill fix up some other stuff and do a light polish.
Was wondering if people here use a grit guard in the wheel bucket. I have not been in the wheel bucket for some time, however, been using them in the paint buckets as that would be a total sin. I personally feel if wheels are taking so much of a beating on the road, lubed wheels with a cleaner...
IMO. You can take an idiot with a rupes or flex or a highly skilled person with a porter cable. Its really about looking what damage you need to fix and using a mix of everything to get good results
These ford grilles use some pvc aluminum stuff that is basically garbage and im a ford fan. It pits and corrodes fast and is hard to clean. I do like the chrome but maybe they should have offered a powder coated version back then. Some might plasti dip them but I dont know how that would hold up.
