You can probably use about 6 cutting (orange) or 4 polishing (white) pads on the car. You will need to clean the pads after every section pass/panel either with a nylon pad cleaning brush and/or the "clean on the fly" method with a terry towel held against the pad as it rotates. Here are some...

I suggest you do a test spot on each car to see if you are obtaining the desired results based on your combination of pad, product and technique. If you are not getting the desired results, then you know that you will either need to change pads/polishes, or refine your technique.

Which model Kranzle do you have? How long have you had it? I take it you have not had any problems with it. I have a cheaper PW that I am not happy with.
