    D114 for clay lube?

D114 is VERY slippery. What I've noticed with using it as a clay lube is in higher concentrations (128:1) it causes the clay bar to slide too easily and not pick as much stuff up. This would be good for something like nanoskin pads though where extra lubricity is a must.

Is anyone using Square to take payments?

Well you can order/setup the gift card portions of things from the dashboard. And as far as allowing to order things online you can select what items show up on your online store. I suggest just signing up and playing with the interface a bit. It doesn't take much time and is free to start.

Is anyone using Square to take payments?

I use square fairly regularly. Mostly for when one of my friends forgets his wallet at home and I have to pay for a meal for him. I just swipe his card when we get back to his place. It works well for detail jobs though. Especially being able to have an itemized invoice you can send to a...

    Protecting suspension and frame components

These parts were just coated in SEM Rust Shield. Just trying to keep them looking good for as long as possible. I won't be applying another paint type product to them. Also doesn't look like 3X Rust Blocker will be able to handle the heat in that area. Guess I'll pick up an extra bottle of...

    Protecting suspension and frame components

As the title states. I am looking for some opinions on how to keep my subframe and suspension I am finishing up on right now in the best shape I can. I'd love to hear suggestions for what to use. I've been debating using CQuartz, but I'm not sure using a coating would be appropriate in this...

    Browning tire

I've found that Megs D143 @2:1 is better at cleaning tires than D101 @ full strength. Was really surprised by it.

What are your "GO TO PRODUCTS"?

Car Soap: Meg's Hyperwash Polish: I probably have 10 different compounds and polishes. Each has their place. AIO Polish: Blackfire AIO or Megs PRC. Both have their place. Wax: I don't generally use wax. Sealants usually. If I do use a wax Adam's Patriot, or Wolfgang Fusion. Spray Wax: D156...

Would you do this to your car (steam clean)?

That looks like it takes way too long and is way too cumbersome for the results.

    Meguair's QID smells terrible

The gallon I bought at the beginning of the year smells like vinegar. I had asked Mr Stoops if the D149 was affected like the consumer batch that was bad and he had told me no...

    Ceramic coating for mobile detailing

Not necessarily. The car still needs to be maintained and washed. Coatings may last 18-24 months, but not without proper care. You are also charging a significant amount more to apply a coating. Not to mention the rest of the car still needs cleaned and dressed regularly. A coating doesn't mean...

Small Polisher--Am I The Only One?

Agreed, the Nano is really its own niche for very tight areas. Is the trigger a deal breaker? I might have a couple of suggestions for you if you want to try and get your wife helping. I'm guessing you don't want her running a rotary, otherwise I would suggest a Flex L3403 VRG Lightweight...

    Foam gun vs foam cannon

Foam Gun is for a regular hose and doesn't produce nearly the same foam. Foam Cannon is for a pressure washer.

Small Polisher--Am I The Only One?

The Rupes Nano actually might be up your alley with this as it can do both Rotary and DA polishing. Although it doesn't have a trigger switch and front grip, it does have a much nicer looking control switch than the FLEX PE-8.

    stuck in a rut.

There is so much truth in this statement. I have never run into 2 cars that acted the same. Some are very similar and I can guess what to expect based on my experiences. Having a variety of pads and compounds/polishes is very beneficial. Learning how those products act and how to work around...

    McGuair's Glass Cleaner Concentrate

No real issues here with D120. It does seem a little more "grabby" than other glass cleaners I have used, but it does a very good job. This is probably due to it being alcohol based.
