Recommendation on shampoo to replace Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Clear as strip wash/tire soap?

I have never tried the other two but I was not impressed with Chemical Guys Clean Slate. I washed my dad's car with Clean Slate and the car's wax or sealant (I don't recall which it had on it, probably FK 1000P) was still providing some beading and while rinsing Clean Slate off, noticed all...

CarPro Essence Primer - Cure time and IPA wipe down

I have always wondered about that recommendation by CarPro. Wouldn't Eraser remove or at least significantly deteriorate all the "good stuff" in Essence you just applied? Am I over thinking this?

    Lake Country Force Pads...

After Detailed Image had a 40% off sale on Lake Country pads, I bought some Force pads and tried them out yesterday. I am now torn whether Rupes or Force pads are my favorite pads, they were nice. I guess whether I buy Rupes or Force pads in the future will depend which is on sale.

How many here are still using the Porter Cable DA?

Anyone still remember the Ultimate Detailing Machine David Bynon introduced almost 20 years ago? Still got mine, lol. That was the first polisher I have ever owned. The paint on my 2000 Eclipse was pretty hard so I bought a used Makita rotary off eBay shortly thereafter and kept the UDM for...

Replacement for Mequiars Body Solvent D-13001

For years I have been using Meguiar`s Body Solvent for removal of road tar, adhesive, and other crud that I would encounter that even APC`s and degreasers had struggled with and it would dissolve them for much easier remove. Tarminator does a pretty good job but, not quite as good as Meg`s Body...

Using snow foam to wash car

For now I am finishing up my gallon of ONR and plan to give DIY Detail's Rinseless Wash a try due all the positive feedback on this board and others I have heard about it. My plan is to presoak by putting about a quarter of mixed solution in a IKR foamer and foam it on the car thinking that...

Using snow foam to wash car

Does rain at 70 mph come anywhere near the pressure of water from at pressure washer spitting out water at 1800 psi? I'm not sure but I doubt it. Regardless, I first presoak with a rinseless wash since I suppose it (or maybe APC?) does the best job incapsulating stuff on the paint. Let it...

    Rinseless Washes - 2022

Gotcha, when I thought of rebranding, I was thinking of them taking another brand's exact product and putting DIY Details' name on it rather than paying a blender to make products according to their specifications. Outsourcing your blending is fine, putting your nam3 on someone else's product...

    Rinseless Washes - 2022

Rebranded from what? I know it is similar to McKees 37 #914 but several on this has said they are not the same.

TAXES - BUSINESS OR HOBBY? In Pennsylvania

If I remember correctly, the big difference is losses. In a hobby, expenses can only be taken to the extent of revenue, ie you cannot report a loss, only profit and break even. Business you can take a loss.

    Been thinking---Boar's Hair Brushes

An OCD Detailer named Accumulator on some boards did THOROUGH testing on Boars Hair Brushes and his conclusion was that if a brush is soft enough not to mar, it is too soft to clean like a mitt or towel but is PERFECT as part one of of a two step mar free wash of a really dirty car. I didn’t...

    Been thinking---Boar's Hair Brushes

Actually, I use my Montana Boars Hair Brush for the opposite, when I have a really dirty car and a wash mitt or microfiber running over all that seems like a bad idea marring wise, I will pressure wash as much as I can and then GENTLY wash with the Boars Hair Brush to knock the big particles...

Gravity is all you need to feed water to the pressure washer? I am trying that but my Karcher isn’t getting water fast enough

    Poorboys strip down wax stripper

I would think if it had surfactants like Chemical Guys BS Clean Slate product, your regular wash would clean those surfactants off? If I had to guess it is a concentrated APC, degreaser or solvent that works on the paint while wet but before you wash it.

Other Uses for APC, Super Degreaser, Citrus Power Cleaner Plus

APC in a mop bucket cleans really well. My kitchen and bathroom floors were so easy to clean last week. I also clean counters and sinks with it. Toilet also. Degreasers clean up oil spills on the drive way pretty good.

    3D Super Concentrated Nano Drums

Has anyone tried the Nano drums by 3D? Does Nano Super Soap at a 1/2 oz per 5 gallon really perform the same as Pink Soap at 1 oz per gallon? Basically ten times as concentrated? Or does Nano Super Duty at 3oz per gallon perform the same as Grand Slam at 13 oz per gallon? Curious of your also...
