    what type of polisher

Hello. I've read these kinda comments about using the PC for polishing and waxing, but the Flex for correcting. Why not use the Flex for polishing and waxing though? I'm at the stage where I want to upgrade to the Flex 3401 from my PCXP, but plan on doing more polishing than correcting as long...

    The Wolfgang Four

You nailed her paint right on the head Mike. While her 2012 Audi A5 is tough to get swirls or water etching out, if I look at it wrong, it scratches. (shhhh, I think it here's me talking about it and instantly getting scratches as I talk about it) Light pressure with my finger nail leaves a...

    The Wolfgang Four

My fiancé's black A5 (Audi black sucks cause it scratches so easy) car had some real bad water etching that WG Total Swirl and a CCS yellow wouldn't get rid of. About that time, WG Uber came out and since I absolutely love the WG Twins and their paint sealant, I didn't hesitate to order the...

Are Lake County CCS pads ok for the Flex 3401 or is there a better choice

Thank you very much for your informative post Mike! That cleared up 100% plus 1000% what I asked :) Your book is on my Xmas wish list! Thanks Michael

Are Lake County CCS pads ok for the Flex 3401 or is there a better choice

Thanks for your input Mike! One few more question about the pad washer and pads..... 1. If using a pad cleaning powder with a water mixer, do you rinse the pad with fresh water after cleaning it in the pad washer? 2. When the pads are "clean", do you use them right away to use less pads for...

Are Lake County CCS pads ok for the Flex 3401 or is there a better choice

I much prefer the 5.5" pads to the 6.5" on my PC. I believe I did stumble upon your post about cutting down your stock backing plate. The backing plate I have now on my PC is slightly smaller than the 5.5" pads I use and like how much closer to the edge of the pad than it is with the 6.5" pads...

Are Lake County CCS pads ok for the Flex 3401 or is there a better choice

Are Lake County CCS pads ok for the Flex 3401 or is there a better choice Hello guys. I'm still relatively new to the whole correcting paint and started out with my PC and LC CCS pads as part of a kit about 2 1/2 years ago. I almost exclusively use Wolfgang products also. (WF groupie I...

    How many pads per color

I'm only about 2 1/2 years into correcting paint, so take my input with a grain of salt. I started off with two 6'5" orange ccs pads for swirl removal, and two 6'5" white ccs pads for polish and/or glaze. I found myself wanting at least one more of each when doing my work. I used a blue ccs pad...

Thanks. I guess I could mention that I've only ever used Lake County CCS pads. Michael

What are the characteristics of soft and hard paint?

Hello, I've searched and searched and can't seem to figure out the characteristics of either soft or hard paint. I've corrected a few Dodges with WG Total swirl and Uber Compound products fairly easy. One a dark blue, the other my orange Challenger. Then there have been two German cars, an 07...

Hello everyone. My name is Michael and I've been reading more than I can retain for over 2 years now, and just now decided to register and say hello. This site is awesome and has helped me so much to get those nasty swirls out of my 09 Challenger. A glimmering sun one afternoon revealed what...
