    Truck Bed Mount Suggestions?

So, I've finally picked out my supplies and think I've found a suitable list to make things all fit in the back of a truck bed. My concern is how can I ratchet down my water tank and generator? Assuming I'd have to custom drill D-rings or something to secure them? Any advice on these items...

Now I know to never take my car to a "bunch of Hacks"

Tex, the only time to worry about a PW being used on your car is if they're literally hitting the car at 1-2" away. Typically 6" away can't really do any harm. Only time I ever hit a car close and hard with a power washer is if I have bugs stuck on the front grill or bumper and it's a newer car...

    Burn paint?

So... you're worried about burning paint because you're new to a rotary and don't want to hurt your friends car? Then you go and practice on your dads car? :nomore: That's just wrong, haha. Seriously just go get some junk panels from a scrap yard. You can get whole hoods for $15-25 and trunk...

Need some help with somewhat basic questions.

This isn't always advised... but you could do what I do (it's a sin, so be careful) I will just take some application by hand and do in small under mirror areas and hard to get to places. or, you could wrap a MF towel around the head of your DA so rubbing it against tight spots doesn't do...

    Somebody help me......

Tell her you were weatherproofing the metal siding to prevent rust. She should be thanking you :xyxthumbs: Until you start asking for rides to the other side of town and bumming money for food and actually going and buying polish/waxes, you're still able to be saved.

    Dreaded Electric Pressure Washer

I guess more than anything. I am just curious about getting a water pump and how to hook it up to my water tank. I'd just hate to order one and it be the wrong size or the wrong water tank fitting.

    Dreaded Electric Pressure Washer

I'm interested, so... something like this? or is that overkill? Are there GPM/pressure regulators? I know a good deal about pressure washers, never really have dabbled into pumps. However if it could save me $ and room I'd like to take a look. Mind linking me something similar to what you...

    Dreaded Electric Pressure Washer

Ah, cool. Yeah, I'm just trying to go small because I'm only using it to rinse vehicles off with after rinseless. Hopefully by the end of next year once I've started up and figured out where I'm at from a budget standpoint I'll get a trailer and probably get a large self mountable water...

    Dreaded Electric Pressure Washer

Yes Rasky, I know that later on down the road when I get my trailer I'll get one good when I have better money coming in. I'm only starti ng part time, for like weekends and people I know to spread the word and fliers/business cards. However, that 'what appears to be a 200+ gallon tank'...

    My Luck Just Ran Out

Yeah, glad you're safe. This exact incident happened to me and my girl when we were driving earlier this month. Some girl on a cell phone merged into our turn lane in front of us and slammed in the front right fender. That really sucks about the wheel having the stem busted off, I'm assuming...

    Dreaded Electric Pressure Washer

Ok, looking for an electric PW. Looking for under 2000 PSI for something under $200 with reliability. I'm using a wrinsless bucket system now, and letting water out of my water tank into my buckets or having customers just come to me. Reason for this is because I'm getting a little 4x4 baby...

How much would this be worth??

thebest: Just out of general curiosity, was that puke stain on the car? What exactly was that? As far as the engine detail goes, yeah the engine will have a gloss residue on it. You got a heckk of a deal for the price you paid on this. Even if he did leave trace marks of wax on edges, or didn't...

Help me with all the abbreviations!

Yeah, wouldn't hurt to use the word for the first time unless someone in that thread has already spelled it out in full. I think as long as an abbreviations true name has been used once, it can then be abbreviated throughout the rest of the thread. I think I'll print a full acronym list and...

How much would this be worth??

B6, I'm going to be honest... the going labor rate for the job being done is appropriate to $200 minimum. With materials, overhead to compensate for, and hourly labor rate, I don't see where asking for $200 for this type of work is unfair. Job included: Basic Interior Cleaning 2 step...

Finally settled on my new ride!!!

Very nice, congratulations on such a beautiful car. Glad to see someone has nice taste :xyxthumbs: I've been looking for a truck lately, every time I go out, I ask them to let me see it in the light if it's in a show room, I ask if they'll include removing the swirl marks and lowering the price...

How much would this be worth??

In all honestly: If you both agreed on $200, he owes you that much. If you said you'd give him an estimate or price afterwards, it's sadly going to work against you. For furture scenarios, quote a "minimum" price, and say it could be higher. Never put yourself in a situation where a customer can...

Hey, I was sifting through off-topic out of boredom and came across this. I'm in Cincinnati, should you ever be interested in a tester, let me know. I'd drive up and buy a smidge of this off you just to test it out. If you're interested, let me know. Good luck!!! Glad to see someone is trying...

    Good, quick first car?

There's always this car: Just make sure you turn off the other half of your engine for 550 hp as a daily driver and take off the dirt tires and you're all set. Sure, you might have to pay a little bit more for having 2 turbo charged V-6's welded together, and it's a red import car... But...

    Good, quick first car?

Yeah, you could get a Mid 2000's Legacy or N/A Impreza and Turbo it. Audi is also a good choice - but ridiculously expensive in part repairs compared to Subaru. A Nissan series would be nice, as well as a newer Infiniti if you're wanting RWD. I don't really concure about a mustang however...

    Maintenance Brochure

As Scuba mentioned, and as did I... teach them too much and you will lose business. Honestly, you could teach them more while making them come to you more often. Mention time frames on how long to get it waxed again. If people know products last X% of the year, then they will be more likely...
