I did not buy any 845 yet so I am open for options. I was taking the 845 process wrong. I was thinking after the polish and IPA it would be time for 845 then wait a few days then top with sigII. Look like I had the wrong idea!

So there is only one mention for the Collinite #845. Sealant is fairly new to me and would like to try it out before the salt trucks hit the roads here in Southeast PA!! I was set on the 845 until this thread. Any comment on 845 or am I not comparing apples to apples?

:iagree: Yes even real hand gilded gold leaf will have clear over top. There is no way real gold leaf can stand up to anything let alone the beating fire apparatus get. I work for a Pierce dealer and we have an "old school gilder" contracted to do any gold leaf work and have watched and talked...

Still cut 50/50 regardless if it is 98% or 91%? The 98% is hard to find.

Once it comes out of the tub, I leave it on the lid and swipe the pad every couple panels. Once done, lower the tub onto the lid and done deal.

What about aluminum polishing? Also tilting the dump body and pressure washing the frame. Lot's to clean on heavy trucks!

How long is the average protection? I know there are a lot of variables and the WGDG says a "few" months.

Well with the fall buffer deal, I can't help but upgrade to the newer PCXP. So I guess I will retire the old under powered PC and take advantage of the sale......but what to do with the retired PC? I would imagine there are a lot of old PC's sitting around, so what is everyone doing with them?
