Pinnacle Souverän paste wax

Once it comes out of the tub, I leave it on the lid and swipe the pad every couple panels. Once done, lower the tub onto the lid and done deal.

I am not sure how to get a can opener to "bite" on the bottom of the container.

Thats a good way to get your product (wax) contaminated with tiny bits of plastic.

I have used a plastic putty knife before, but I felt like I was wasting wax.

Thats not a bad idea, just use a little bit at a time. My Pinnacle Souveran has cracked in several spots, so I no longer remove the whole piece, as it's not in one piece anymore. I may remove a small chunk from the container, and use it accordingly. The rest goes back into the container. I even just stick a finger inside the container, and pick out a small chunk. Whatever doesn't get used, goes back inside the container, nothing gets wasted.

This product can be challenging to use if the wax is cold. The heat from your fingers/hand seems to liquify the product. I find, the most conservative method to apply this product to paintwork, is to apply it strictly by hand. I then (after product has been applied) work it in with a small, round, yellow applicator. At this point, you could work it in by machine if you desire.

Hey Kurt,

To be honest with you the gold is softer than the red but functionally I saw no difference at all. I only have one because I wanted to try it but for what I do I couldn't see any difference.

I use either 5 1/2 or 6 1/2 what ever I have handy. because I'm applying wax only with little to no pressure a 6 1/2 pad works fine.

I was wondering about gold pads. I read a while back to use the gold pad for jeweling, while others use black pads.

I don't use the 6.5" red CCS pad anymore because I used more sealant and couldn't keep the pad flat on significant portions of my 528iT. If time was critical from a professional standpoint, I'd waste product to gain time. The 4" takes a little more time for application but I only use one pad for everything including areas needing manual application (for instance under door handles). I recently picked up a 5.5" red flat pad to try one of these days.

Have you ever used a red pad for jeweling? I'm thinking about picking up some PO85rd to play around with. I should have two family owned black cars to detail over the Christmas holidays. They can't afford a proper detail and I hate to see their cars look like crap.

I thought about popping mine out with a good smack, but with my luck the wax would've shot straight to floor. I never paid that much for any wax at the time, so I walked around with it like a baby.. Im the MAN

I got my Souveran yesterday and 1 good wack to the bottom, it came out of the container fine.(Fuzion would not come out this easily) Now if it would warm up so I could use it. How is Souveran compared to Fuzion? I have used Fuzion and liked it, but after hearing all of the good things about Souveran, and the half off price tag I had to try it!!

Thats how I am going to do it. Thanks
