Favorite must have general paint polish?

HD Polish+ is my favorite Jescar micro-finishing polish and Boss Perfecting Cream are both fantastic but aren't quite as good as HD Polish+

Anyone tried Polish Angel Master Sealant?

Has anyone tried the PA Master Sealant yet? Is it any good? $40 for 200ml is extremely expensive BUT if it's durability is similar to FK1000p or Powerlock and it's as easy or easier to remove, it might be worth it...especially since it can be safely used on textured black plastic trim. HD...

Really want to try polish angel

shoot! I know this is an old thread BUT I'm sure a lot of guys would have gladly paid the shipping to have the opportunity to try all of the PA products you just threw away.lol What didn't you like about the master sealant? I've been wanting to try it but it's just so darn expensive for a 200ml...

Washer Can't Get Detergent Out of Towels?

Lots of great recommendations. Since you're using a HE front loading machine I'd always select the largest load setting, even if you're not washing many towels. Also, Micro-restore and 3D towel Kleen are far better at rinsing completely than the free & clear detergents I've tried. You could...

    Rupes mille compound and polish?

You and I may have our differences Ron, but I was literally about to say the exact same thing. Zephir reminds me a LOT of S3 Gold XXL except Zephir smells better and S3 Gold XXL finishes better and wipes off a little easier on softer paints.

    Rupes mille compound and polish?

I'm gonna give Zephir a shot on Rotary/Wool. I always cut with microfiber on my 15 MK2 and every time I've tried using Zephir with microfiber I'm always dissappointed with the amount of correction especially on harder paints. It's wipe off has never been very easy for me either. I have tried...

    Rupes mille compound and polish?

I can't imagine the new compounds actually having less cut than Zephir. That stinks! I thought Jason Rose said that the compound for rotary and wool was suppose to be the most aggressive compound because when people reach for rotary and wool they are tradionally in a body shop setting or...

Buff and Shine Uro-Wool & Finisher Pads

unfortunately no. I too would have preferred a foam interface like the LC Lambswool cutting pad has.

    Blackfire has new products!!

Does the Sio2 spray sealant have to be used on wetted paint? Will it streak on dry paint? Can it be diluted with water and used on clean dry paint?

    Thoughts on Rotary "Dry Buffing"

Tom, Sorry for the delayed response. I read a lot about the different abrasive technology used in my compounds and polishes. But I know there are really only two companies that sell compounds and polishes with non-diminishing abrasives. That's Meguiars and 3D. Non-Diminishing -M205 -M101...

    Thoughts on Rotary "Dry Buffing"

I honestly can't think of a single reason you'd want to spread the compound out, wait for the lubricating oils to dry, then start the buffing process. Whether I'm using a DAT or SMAT compound, I always apply the product directly to the lambswool pad. When using a DAT or diminishing abrasive...

    Rupes Mini pads?

I agree with Guz. I like the maroon and yellow uro-tecs. Rather than buying the blue uro-tecs for heavy cutting, try the Lake Country 2.25" & 1.5" microfiber cutting pads. They're fantastic.

Pictures of a 6" Maroon Uro-tec pad after 25-30 uses!

I used it one more time then tossed it. I used to toss my pads once they started shedding or once the hook and loop backing separated, but that doesn't seem to be an issue with these uro-tec pads. I probably could have used it a few more times, but the velcro backing was so worn down it would...

Pictures of a 6" Maroon Uro-tec pad after 25-30 uses!

Remember back when we all thought buff and shine flat 5.5" orange cutting pads were nearly indestructible? lol Then Rupes 15mm and 21mm polishers entered the market and we found out that hardly any pads on the market could withstand more than a few polishing sessions due to all the heat...

    Green rupes pads splitting

The additional heat generated by a 12mm throw on a 3" pad is substantial and Rupes green pads are notorious for shredding after only a few polishing sessions. I've been able to get 10+ polishing sessions out of the green rupes pads I have left. Prolonging pad life -Don't prime foam pads -Used...

    Help me choose which AIO

Using a quality AIO (like HD Speed or BF 1-step) allows you to polish an entire vehicle before removing. Plus, removal of these AIO polishes is generally much easier than a finishing polish. Unless you are applying a ceramic coating, my logic behind using an AIO rather than a finishing polish...

Blackfire Pro Detailers Choice Advanced Pad Cleaner and Conditioner Review

I agree with Guz. Every pad cleaner I've tried (Blackfire, M31, Mckee's) really messes with my sinuses and feels toxic when breathing in. I use Nextzett 1z Blitz APC diluted 30:1 to clean 90% of my polishing pads. It's a very concentrate mild APC that is completely safe for you skin and...

Blackfire One Step vs. HD Speed

I'd give it another shot on some soft finicky dark paint. I agree, it is very comparable to HD Speed in performance and finish. On light color cars, I've been sticking with HD Speed as well.

Blackfire One Step vs. HD Speed

good point. Those pads are definitely open cell but they might be because they do a phenomenal job of keeping product on the face of the pad they may be an exception with D166. For me, the B&S maroon uro-tec pads and the green rupes pads with D166 didn't work very well at all for me. Lots of...
