    Orange Peel Removal Pictures

This forum downsizes them. They unfortunately aren't the true size. You can see it better here. Orange Peel Removal - Zoom in to see texture detail - Album on Imgur Mine are not as clear a difference as on Jeff's pictures I must admit.

    Orange Peel Removal Pictures

Thanks! $10 for a 2 pack if I'm not mistaken. So $5. Easier, faster, less paint reduction. Plenty of reasons to choose these over sanding.

    Orange Peel Removal Pictures

Zoom in to see the orange peel and see more detail! Came across these pictures I took a little while back while detailing. Thought I would share. Very easy process: compound as you would but with the Carpro denim/velvet pad (takes a TON of passes surprisingly) and take ptg readings in...

Ordered 3401, any reason to keep GG6?

Yeah, trust me on this, but once you regulate your GG to a 4 inch bp or smaller, you won't want to return it. It's worth it, just for not having to take off backing plates and stopping in the middle of a detail to do that. Use your Flex on those large areas, and any curvy ones that are too...

3D HD Car Car Now Available at Autogeek!

The problem with UV protection is any company can say that something has UV protection, but apart from the chemists who formulated, who can really tell? And EVEN if it does. How well and how long does it last? 1 day, 1 week, or months? No one can tell. There's no FDA for detailing products...

    Review: Natty's Blue Paste Wax

:iagree: We just value different things, that's all. For me, as long as I can make the wax work and it's not terribly difficult, I'll take whichever has the best sheeting characteristic. That to me is the most important. With your garage queen, I feel your priority isn't about what can...

    Review: Natty's Blue Paste Wax

Great review Steve! One thing I will add is that the beading and sheeting characteristics are not up to par with some of the more expensive waxes I've tried (ie Bouncer's Capture the Rapture and Blackfire Montan Hybrid Wax), but I agree on the ease of application and everything else.

    Claying

The sponges in both grades are 25 together. And they can each do ten cars at least. IMO, at that price point, it's at least worth a try. I'm a huge fan!

    First headlight restoration.

I agree with Ebg18t. I've never had to go below 1000 grit on the DA. That will remove a lot of material, enough that I've been happy everytime. Maybe I haven't dealt with some of the headlights you have rbos, but I thought I've done some pretty awful ones with the 1000.

wow, looks awesome! I too also like working on single stage. The difference polishing makes imo is a greater difference than the bc/cc so before and afters with it are fantastic! Really good job :)

How to Clean Wheels - Exterior Car Detail Parts 5, 6, 7

The next part of the Exterior Car Detail Video Series is here, and it's time to clean those wheels! There's two methods of cleaning wheels nowadays, using a iron removing wheel cleaner like Sonax FE, Wolfgang Uber, Meguiar's Dub etc. Or cleaning a wheel without an iron-removing wheel cleaner ie...

How do I clean neglected wheels?

IME, iron removing products don't have as much cleaning power on severely neglected wheels as does harsh chemicals like megs wheel brightener. Also, I would not recommend ever using steel wool on your wheels no matter the finish. OP, pick up some Daytona brushes or wheel woolies to agitate the...

How do I clean neglected wheels?

If they've gone without cleaning for a few years, most likely you will find pitting underneath that dirt. There's two products I would recommend for this job. Meguiar's Wheel Brightener or Brown Royal Wheel Cleaner. Both are hazardous and you MUST wear proper protection. I wear gloves, mask...
