    Paint correction question

I would think you worked it too long. I use hex logic foam as well. You want to stop the DA as soon as the polish flashes that is when the polish is done. You may have dried buffed if you went past the flashing stage. Yellow hex-logic is the highest cut foam. You may have started with the orange...

New to the forum and need some help

My advice to you would read the detailing how to section on autogeek. It will give you a great base knowledge. You also go to youtube and search junkman2000. While his videos are long they go step by step on a range of detailing processes and he has a good sense of humor. Those two things will...

    Best Spray Wax Over BFMS

I liken using Garry Dean's detail juice as a spray wax for cars. It suits my purposes for business ( does a lot of stuff.) and durability was measured about about 4 weeks before its started to break down on a prepped surface

    Nanoskin Glide Vs CG Luber

CG Luber works great but I gave it up for Garry Dean's Detail Juice. Less bottles to keep track of and it does more then just lube clay. It's just as slick if not slicker then CG.

    taping off trim (chrome/plastic)

Tape off when your using a machine. It can save you trim damage as well as damage to your pads. The only time I don't tape off is if I'm doing an AIO and major corrections are not a primary goal. I do around the trim and badges by hand. It takes time to tape but less time then it would take to...

    2012 CTS-V: Interior Over Spray

That is awful. I would ask for a new interior at the least. My head would have exploded. I would have walked out on the lot and say I will take this one and left the trashed one there. (Pics would be great!) I don't have a single clue how to remove over spray on the interior. I'm guessing it's...

    What CCS Pad/Speed?

It's more about the paint. It's trial and error. You need to do a test spot first and see which compounds/polishes/pad combos gives you the best results on the particular paint you are working on. Always pick a spot with the worst damage. Always start with the least evasive method possible. Once...

Uww+ vs garry deans infinite use detail juice

I'm a detail juice fan. Like it was said before UWW+ and DJ are like splitting hairs. They both do a lot really well. I have to say using DJ as a spray wax is nice. I had it last a month outside no mait. wash. Besides I go with the Juice I like to support the homegrown small business and help...

Sorry Car-Pro. First cup of coffee has not kicked in yet. HAHA

    What's the best Clay bar?

Car-Pron Polyshave blocks. (They make a pad to put on your DA too) MUCH cheaper then Nanoskin products and easier then clay. I keep a clay bar on hand just for tight spaces.

    AOI topper

Just and AIO for me then a quick wipe down with GD detail juice as a QD just as a quick clean up. I don't know about anyone else but I use an AIO for one step.

Dishwashing pad for wheels and paint

Get a bug block/bug sponge. You use it like you would a wash sponge during the wash process. Takes off everything and will bot scratch your paint.
