What's best microfiber towel? Cobra Miracle Microfiber Towels Waaaay Over-rated... Marketing Hype

I haven't spent much time using MF towels....but the other day I read or seen a video where they said that a wet/damp MF towel works better than a dry one. I actually think I seen a video and they were drying the car off and the MF was folder in 1/4 and they put a little ONR on the panel they...

    Vacuuming polishing pads?

I guess you could take the small attachment used on the vacuum that is used to go between the seats, take a small brush that is used to clean the pads and cut the handle off the brush and glue it to the side if the vacuum attachment. This way you can brush it and vacuum at the same time...

Honestly, is foaming even effective? Isn't a simple wash mitt much better?

I can say up to about a week ago I wondered the same thing with regards to doing a presoak. A few months ago I removed all the swirls on my car and put a coat of opti-coat on it. I don't wash the car at my house as I have very hard water. So I goto a manual car wash and hose everything I can off...

    Working with Pearl White Paint

I just got a pearl white 2009 maxima(low miles) but with a good amount of swirls and rids. I'm pretty new to the detailing game but I used a GG6 with Menzerna FG400(orange pad) and followed it up with SF-4000(gray pad) and it turned out great. I still have temp paper plates on my car and over...

Did pollen eat through Wolfgang Fuzion?

This kind of reminds me of a post I read where someone's car didn't have beading or sheeting with opti coat after a short amount of time. Ended up the contamination didn't come off with a regular wash and required iron-x and everything was good to go afterwards. Maybe there is something you can...

Menzerna Powerlock - a little test

I don't have PL but use menzerna polishes and really like them. I'm wondering how PL would work on a windshield maybe half PL and the other half ?????. or the drivers side window that gets rolled up and down half PL and half ????? and see how they work over time.

    GG6 deal question

Since I'm new to all this detailing stuff I could be wrong......but I wouldn't get 6.5" pads. My GG6 seems to have a hard time with the bigger pads. I've got a smaller backing plate and use 5" and 4"(I think) and it seems to work much better. Just my 2 cents worth and I'm not bad mouthing the...

So how much oxidation can Megs 105 take off exactly?

I used m105 and orange pad on my F150 that I thought the paint was dead and no CC left and it worked great. I'm no expert yet but I would think your pad would have turned white if the CC failed or was gone. Maybe your working to big of an area with the amount of oxidation you have. Try a smaller...

Heavy Swirls/Mineral Deposits, what do you recommend?

:iagree: Get the GG polisher and a good assortment of pads. I'm new to detailing also....so my advise would be work small areas at a time and keep the pads clean and know when it's time to change or wash them. On a positive note....it's really hard to damage the paint unless you stay in one...
