Need a deeper clean, just don't want to claybar

I think Scott from Dallas Detailing recommends 2-3 oz per gallon. At .06 per oz it's still pretty inexpensive.

Need a deeper clean, just don't want to claybar

"Do I have to get the "Vehicle/Boat" version or can I use what I have?" From Scott's comments about the vehicle version rinsing well and being very slick I would say yes -- get the vehicle version. Just a note of caution -- I would not want to use this soap more than once or twice a year. If...

Need a deeper clean, just don't want to claybar

While Scott can be a little long winded I think he makes a good point in this video--Purple Power Heavy Duty Premium Vehicle and Boat Wash Concentrate has a PH of 10, is very slick, rinses freely and only costs about .06 cents per oz ($7.84/gallon at Walmart). A Better Soap Than Chemical Guys...

Washer for backplates on Griot's 6" and MT300?

The backing plates on some Long Throw polishers purposely rub on the shroud and many people will add metal washers to keep the backing plate away from the shroud -- this improves rotation but would not have any value with a short throw polisher.

Questions regarding FK1000P application and removal

I use one of these Buff and Shine Red Foam Wax & Sealant Applicator Pad with Notched Center (2 Pack) B&S hand applicator pads--it's the same foam as their red DA pads--soft foam with very dense pores-- and the double thickness allows you to get a good grip on the pad without cramps in your...

Is it ok to top HD Speed with a sealant?

Last summer I polished my wife's car with Speed, applied a coat of Poxy and then a coat of Ultimate Fast Finish (since it's designed to go on top of other Waxes and Sealants). Looks great and still beading like crazy and the car stays very clean.

Please recommend a good paint prep or AIO before sealant

Sounds like your car needs a chemical decontamination before claying--get a bottle of Carpro IronX or 3D BDX--will take care of the embedded contaminants and should make your claying go a little faster.

Got rid of my Overpriced Karcher PW and bought a Cheap Ryobi & Upgraded it... way better setup!!

Same problem with the SunJoe PW--they use a M22-15mm connection and the standard is M22-14. But an inexpensive conversion fitting is available on eBay but I can't find the link just now.

Anyone know of any cold weather gloves for washing and work?

I've been using these Sterns gloves for the past 20 years since lived in New Hampshire. They are Neoprene like the Glacier Glove, but have a wrist strap that keeps them tight. Stearns 5600 Neoprene Cold Water Gloves
