Is there really a bad APC? I have never really been disappointed by a basic cleaner. Can't help on detail spray, hardly ever use it.

Paint chip repair as a business

I looked a little into paint chips. I was looking at some of the big kits. It seems like return on your investment would take a long time. I'm not sure that it is a big money maker.

    Business question

I am setting up an online store as we speak. The store will be anchored by my own product line. Afterglow detailing chemicals. When the store launches in late Sept/early Oct it will just be a page added to my website as opposed to a full e commerce store. Once my sales increase I will get a true...

Branding Defined as it Applies to Our Industry

When I started "Afterglow" the very first thing my wife and I discussed was our brand. Branding has been part of my business plan right from the start. People are quickly starting to associate Afterglow with well maintained cars. We will be rolling out our line of Afterglow detailing chemicals...

    taxes

No sales tax on services here in MA. You will pay income tax on your adjusted income. If you have a good accountant your income will be fairly low after all your expenses. I'm no expert but everything wdmaccord said sounds a bit off to me. I'm pretty sure an LLC is a pass through entity just...

    Gum in carpet

You can work it out with Goo Gone. You have to work it then do some other part of the car then work some other part of the car. It takes a while but if you are detailing a car inside and out it will be gone before you finish the car.

How many use customers water or electric?

I use rinse-less only. I have an Eco-Pod low pressure washer. I bring my own water and electricity but the first thing new customers always do is show me where the hose and outlet are. I tell them I probably wont need them but I'm not shy about using them if I do. They are really impressed that...

Year 3.5 Mobile Business - Goods and Bads

If you hire someone and tell them you are going to pay them $10 an hour it would cost a lot more than $80 of your total gross for the day. Making payroll is the biggest expense in most business. Sent from my SGH-T889 using AG Online

Year 3.5 Mobile Business - Goods and Bads

Full time detailing as your sole source of income. That is a scary thought. I find that detailing only produces a certain amount of dollars per hour. After business expenses there is not much left. I could not imagine supporting my family and lifestyle by detailing. My hat goes off to those of...
