Is there a product to get gum out carpets

So far everything I've tried hasn't worked

i may sound a little crazy but my method that works for me is freezeing the gum with freon then breaking the gum into pieces and vaccum up but if you dont have access to that then use a hair dryer heat the surface peel the blop of gum with a plastic bag then once the blop of gum is gone use adhesive remover and microfiber to remove any embedded gum

Steam

Steam for me too. It's a lot of work, takes about 10 minutes to remove but it does work.

There is a product for gum remover it's in a can and freezes the gum then you scrape it out.. Unfortunately I'm not sure what the name of the product is called

Edit: it's called chewing gum remover and they sell it on amazon

I have used hair spray to remove gum, but not from carpet. That is a new one for me, fortunately. Now watch it happen to me.

I've used ice to freeze it and then peel it off. If there's any left use some alcohol to soften it and it will come off. There's a lot of different ways that work. Youtube is loaded with different methods.

You can also use a can of compressed air, turn it upside down , freeze it then chip it off if steam isn't available.

Years ago, I used to use a product called Karith Cleaner from a factory in Chicago called Rukin Industries. Rukin might still be in business, but Karith, at least its original formula has no doubt changed, since it contained one of those nasty Triclorethelyne (sp) products. I tried searching for it, not much luck.

This stuff was the cat's meow for ink, oil-grease stains, gum etc. I've got a 1/2 gal left, and it only gets used in special emergencies.

A buddy once borrowed some to get Locomotive Traction Motor Grease (stuff is like black tar) off his T-Bird's Grey Velour Seats, which he didn't realize he had on the back of his sweatshirt when he got into his car one day.
He was sold.

Was told Marshall Fields in Chicago (now Macys) was one of their largest users of this Karith Product, used on fine clothes, and such.

Doing a simple google search should bring up numerous products available for this purpose.

Naptha (Lighter Fluid) does work in a pinch, but I would advise to test first for color fastness, and to always "feather" such fluids to lessen any chance of residue rings left on upholstery-carpeting.

Orange cleaner, Xnent?
I have that and it works great
A few bucks compaired to a steamer.

You can work it out with Goo Gone. You have to work it then do some other part of the car then work some other part of the car. It takes a while but if you are detailing a car inside and out it will be gone before you finish the car.

The few times I've had to deal with gum, I used Klean-Strip Gum & Adhesive remover. Worked well for me. It should be available at almost any automotive parts chain. Walmart and similar stores may even carry it.

The MSDS for it.

The product mentioned that freezes the gum sounds like a much safer alternative.

Along with all the good advice above...head out to your local janitorial supply store. They WILL have what you need and maybe some good suggestions on removal.

When I'm king of the world, there will be NO more chewing gum, and for all the school custodians, that also includes sun flower seeds!
