    It Happened to me

Might get hammered up here but just wanted to put out a post of be careful, I detail cars on the side and have a full time teaching gig, but after doing this for a few years I was detailing a truck the other day and had my young son with me (3 years old) and just did a rush job but did not...

    Upgp

Thanks for the link so the next question is if I did use too much and have a little streaking and do not have 12 hours to allow further curing, if I can apply a second coat in 45 minutes than a small spritz with a detail spray should not remove the product, right?

    Upgp

Yes I am still working on getting the right amount to dry streak free, still using too much I suppose

    Upgp

How long do you guys let UPGP cure before you hit it with some detail spray? The bottle really doesn't say much about it. I have been letting it cure for 30-45 minutes depending on how hot it is. Is that sufficient for max results?

Best Hands Down Trim Restorer Hands Down ?????

Does UTTG restore the color to faded trim as well? Poor boys does a great job of restoring the color but even after buffing dry it runs in the rain and I hate that.

    Opti-Seal

I use optiseal and love it, usually I will apply two layers of OS with 30 minutes apart and the next time I wash I will use Optimum spray wax over the OS looks great, easy to use and very durable.

Of these two products which provides more gloss and slickness?

Huge huge fan of optiseal and the spray wax. I think the optiseal gives a great shine and the ocw just amps it up a notch. I also give two layers of os followed by ocw.

How to hide swirlmarks on dark car?

Bob at danase has closed down his buisiness, he did I believe sell the wet glaze formulation to a outside corporation, it is a newer version though

If I like Turtle Wax Ice... Then...

I would suggest optimum optiseal. Looks great no white residue goes on all surfaces and you wipe on and walk away, no removal.

    Dr. Color Chip Storage

Can you store the Dr. Colorchip system for a period of time? I am looking to get some for my wife's mustang but it does not have that many chips on it (4 or 5) but it is a daily driver so it will get more, can I store the unused portions of the solutions like you can with touch-up paint?
