First off welcome. Next this page detailingtips has a flow chart to help you with the steps to take. Below that are articles and videos to help you with each step. It's going to be easy at first to get overwhelmed, but once you have learned the right way, your decisions on products will be easier.

I'm thinking they mean the carpet cleaners that are in wal mart etc. They call them steam cleaners but some of them don't even heat the water. They are more of an extractor and you can add solution to the cleaning tank.

$20 wet dry vac from one of the big box home centers, however; the steamer does not put near as much moisture as the extractor does into the carpet.

Used a DA to apply. I've gone over a test spot with a polishing pad and Klasse. Another I used instant detailer to wipe clean. Guess I'll see in the morning. Either way it will be education.

Thanks for the replies. We are going from frost to 60 each day so I will try to troubleshoot today. I was thinking ahead and marked the spots with grease pencil this morning just wasn't sure what I was going to do, but I did want to be able to find them.
