    Wax removal/buffing with PC7424

This works, but I'm not too sure how much of a benefit it will be for you. I have used that method a few times, but just using a MF towel to remove product is pretty hard to beat. Not to knock the Adam's Polish video, (Haven't seen it), but I first read about this method on Autopia in December...

Complaints and not so happy customer?

Client 1 is probably a lost cause. If his interior was that great when he dropped it of, why was he having you clean it? Client 2 could be a learning experience. By your own adnission, you evidently did miss some swirls and scratches during the polishing. Apologize and correct the problem. Did...

Is there any routine maintenance for a polisher

You might want to read the owner's manual. My PC7336 has a section on keeping the tool clean by blowing out air passages with dry compressed air, They also recommend a 100 hour inspection and service to be performed by an authorized service facility.

Anyone seen or tried this wax before?

You don't trust products from Mother's? I was going to mention 3M, but I guess that's kind of Meguiar's. :)

Anyone have an ABSORBER drying towel?

That's kind of what I tried to say. I remember someone saying, "Find something you like and use it often". As long as you are happy with it, there's no reason to change.

Anyone have an ABSORBER drying towel?

Used them for years with no problem, but I now use MF towels. I don't wring the MF out, I just switch to a dry towel. I did have to wring the Absorber out occasionally. As I said, I never had any problems, but a lot of people have concerns about getting some dirt or grit in the Absorber and...

    Age Demographic

Two things. 1. Age is just a number 2. Chances are if you like cars you will never grow out of it.

    Duragloss 101, 105, 111 --> which is the newest

The DG105 is a good product and should be available at your local Car Quest store. And I didn't notice any sarcasm anywhere in the thread/

    What if?............The unspeakable...

Never had the occasion to get into the "diminished value" thing, but as far as repair of damage to my vehicle, it depends on the quality of the repair. A few, very few, body shops can make repairs that are not easily detected. I once looked at a vehicle that had a "Prior Paint Work" tag and I...

    What polish under DG-TPP105/PBA601??

DG #501 Marine/RV Polish, #601 PBA, #105 TPP works good for me. DG #951 Aqua Wax for maintenance after/during a wash keeps the vehicles looking freshly waxed. Probably because they were. :D

This is for you Meghan.

I'm convinced I've pissed Meghan off, somehow.

I certainly can't speak for Meghan, but when a woman ignores you, there is usually a reason. :D The phone call seems like a good idea. It's sometimes difficult to know just how to respond to a written communication. Better yet, stop in at the AG office. :)

    Meguiars Detailers line bottles

It appears your question has been answered so here's a suggestion that works good for me. Get a baby bottle with the ounce graduations on the bottle. Measure both your product and the water while pouring it in the 32 oz. bottle. I usually refill long before the spray bottle is completely empty...

    Water conditioner additive?

Can you buy filtered or deionized water at a decent price dispensed into your tank? It seems like I have read about some Mobile Detailers doing that.

    Water conditioner additive?

Again, I'm not Mike and I'm not an expert, but you might find a product other than the Calgon system that might help. Both Optimum ONR and DP RW&G are touted to help with the problem and while they might not be cost effective, possibly some of the chemicals in those products would work for you...

Things to watch out for when Engine Cleaning/Detailing

Cleaning an engine compartment has never caused me any problems in recent years, but I don't use a pressure washer and I don't spray directly on electrical components. Two things I have heard. 1. Vehicles with HID headlights have ballasts that can be damaged by spraying them. Expensive...

    Storage of Detailing supplies

Yes. :D I keep my MF towels, applicator pads and extra buffing pads in plastic storage boxes and plastic drawer cabinets. My PC and enough pads for a job are in a plastic toolbox. Those items are left in the garage. Since I live in a cold climate, my chemicals are kept in the basement. Gallons...

    Power washer pressure question?

Whoops! Just realized I was in the "Ask the Expert featuring Mike Phillips" forum. I'm not Mike Phillips and I'm certainly not an expert. Cya. :bolt:
