I might suggest wiping it down after each session and removing any excess polish and wax from its surfaces and backing plates.
Thanks..
So I don't need to lubricate the polisher or any other parts
By the way, I think I read somewhere here about adding a washer to backing plate...
Is it necessary to do that?
You should use the washer that came with the pc. It keeps the backing plate from hitting the tool itself and slows down heat transfer to the backing plate.
I got no washer came with pc...
Like Dana said, it should have came in a plastic bag in the bottom of the box...Looks like this.

I would make sure you get the same kind of material that matches the metals it is in contact with. Avoid galvanic reaction. If the screw is 300 series stainless steel get a 300 series stainless washerGo to Lowe's and find one. It's not like a little washer is rare or anything.
