Can Wolfgang paint sealant 3.0 withstand freezing temperatures?

Nahhhhh. Our Wednesday forecast: High 15 degrees F 10 to 12 inches of snow 50 mph winds Now, that sucks. :D

What did you find out when you talked to the folks at AG?

Can Wolfgang paint sealant 3.0 withstand freezing temperatures?

You guys kill me. :) 20 degrees is not cold. -20 degrees is cold. FWIW, sealants don't freeze and fall off at -20 either. :D

Since you purchased products that they intend to be used in combination, you should have nothing but great results. I have read nothing but good reports from people that use Wolfgang. Never used it. A little pricey for me. :)

    PR: Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion

Great, but Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion is the product I'm questioning. The AG ad copy for the WGPPE suggests using a sealant over it. The AG ad copy for the PPCL never mentions a sealant, only wax. Coincidence? Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose. :)

Are you sure about PPCL being a good prep for sealants? It has fillers which is not usually a good thing prior to a sealant. The AG info talks about following it with a wax, but never mentions using a sealant.

Interesting. This is a product you don't hear that much about anymore, but 6 or 8 years ago, it was really quite popular. PPCL and Blitz Carnauba Wax. Sounds like it might still be worth talking about.

    Polisher replacement parts?

The machine that was referred to in the thread I saw was the Meguiar's G110. They did not refer to it as version 1 or 2. Just a guess, it was most likely the version 1. Evidently I was mistaken in thinking that the Meguiar's polishers and the UDM machines were some version of the Porter-Cable...

    Polisher replacement parts?

Having recently read of some brush replacement problems with some polishers made me wonder. (These were not 20 year old machines which might be a problem to get parts for. They were fairly recent models.) Is there a problem getting replacement parts for some polishers? Some wear and...

New Motorcycle Owner needs some suggestions...

Invest in a good helmet and wear it. Take an instruction and safety course. Ride like every car you see is after you, cause one of them is. Dumb as it sounds, people really don't see you. I personally ride and drive somewhat aggressively. Don't be an ass, but be the one deciding what you are...

Need advice: Sealant for Winter or Sealant + Wax

First off, I'm not one that "tops" sealants with a wax. If I didn't like the appearance of the sealant I was using, I would change to one I did like. That said, I seem to be in the minority and as with most car care things, it's a matter of personal choice. Now, to answer your question. No, I...

    Same, different?

Anyone want to stick their neck out and comment on what they know about the new DA polishers coming out. Not the Flex, but the units by PC, GG, Meg's. Are some of them the same, similar, totally different machines? (Yes is not an acceptable answer.:)) Maybe even state a few pros & cons based on...

    MF Prep

Right or wrong, this works for me. 1. I wash all my MF towels before the first use to remove any manufacturing or shipping debris. Thereafter, they are washed after every use. 2. I wash in hot water. 3. I have never pre-soaked any of my MF towels. 4. I presently am using Micro-Restore, but had...

    PC and the 5" PB

The vibration comment was interesting to me. I replaced my fiber washer with thick rubber washers on a couple of BPs for just that reason. That and the fact I was able to get rubber washers that you had to screw on the threads and they stay in place when the BP is not in use. I can't say that I...

    Pad Storage Ideas?

Wow! 30 to 35 seems like a "ton" of pads to me. I have about 20 and that seems like a lot. It is actually more than I really need, but hey, it's for the cars. :) I store mine in Zip-Lock bags, not sealed. and in a plastic 2 drawer cabinet.

    PC and the 5" PB

Jason posted a link to the PC Manual for a couple of models in this thread. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/porter-cable-7424xp-updates/18898-porter-cable-7424xp-manual.html The manual includes the following line on page 2 under "Changing the backup pad". C. A spacer is supplied with the...

    PC and the 5" PB

I would have to go look, but I think many of the bolts and nuts on my vehicles, lawn mower, snow blower don't have washers. Definitely not fiber washers which is what came with the PC. Granted, some do, but certainly not all of them.

    PC and the 5" PB

Whoops....... Brain fade on my part. I should have said backing plates, not pads. (I did correct the error in my original post.) I still don't see the purpose of the washer. Aren't lots of bolts and screws used without washers? Why does a backing plate need one?

    PC and the 5" PB

What is the purpose of the washer? The BP doesn't really need any additional spacing for wrench access. The washer doesn't appear to be capable of doing much insulation from heat nor does it look like it would do anything for vibration. I have not found anything in the manual that came with the...

    PC and the 5" PB

While I can't tell you the purpose of the fiberglass washer, I can tell you my original PC didn't come with one and in 7 years of use, I haven't seemed to have missed it. No BP "spinning wear and tear" that I have noticed.
