Min speed 2, Max speed 3. +1 on using an interface. 800 grit and below without an interface will take much longer to refine with 1000 grit. The body shop I currently work for uses 3M trizact discs in 3000 and 5000 grit. They last quite a while IME. I use Meg sanding discs atm for personal use...
