Hello all!

I'm considering getting a website soon.
The thing is, I'm not sure where to get it.
I used Squarespace some years ago and loved it but the prices are in US$ and with the weakness of the Canadian dollars it's just gonna cost too much.

I'm considering Vista Prints Canada. Anyone here tried that service?

Any other recommendation?

Mobile. But I think I will stick with Squarespace. I think it's worth it.

If your mobile I don't think a web will promote that much business. There are so many opportunities at your finger tips without spending a lot of cash.Being mobile you can provide on the spot services to body shops, repair centers wholesalers and etc.I never really understood the web page thing unless you are getting 20 hits a day and closing a deal on one.If you do good work the word of mouth will spread like crazy.I would promote your business in other immediate ways within your community that everyone will see and know you exist.Good luck in your business venture.

I disagree with GSKR. Even if word of mouth is your best way to get clients, having a website allows your client to see what you offer. For the small fee a website cost, I think you should not be without one. I use Bluehost and it cost me something like 8 CAN$ per month. Then you have to pay DNS service once a year and special services so that's an other what 40$ per year. Peanuts any way you look at it.

Never tried Squarespace but I think it's very similar to Bluehost. You could also go with GoDaddy, that is super inexpensive too.

What you will have to decide before you start is if you want a traditionnal website or a WordPress website. Personally I use an old software to build my website (Microsoft Frontpage) so I prefer to do it that way, I find WordPress way too restrictive. On the other hand WordPress is much easier to use... so it's a matter of your personnal taste there.

If it cost so little than I agree to do it.

Do not use Vistaprint. I have a site with them and I like it, but switching to another host is a pain and you have to pay for your domain name. Also, you do not have huge SEO control on it... Wordpress with Bluehost sounds like a good plan. NOT VISTAPRINT!

Bluehost has a LOT of great reviews and includes several website builders (similar to SquareSpace). It's also a little cheaper than Squarespace. But if you're comfortable with Squarespace and it gave you the results you were looking for in a hosting provider/website builder, than stick with them. No reason to waste time learning a new system and site builder if you're satisfied.

I usually don't post stuff like this, but I have been extremely happy with my web hosting experience so far and thought I'd chime in. I read a ton of reviews on different web hosting services and finally landed on https://www.siteground.com/go/primeautodetailing I was able to register my domain name for free, the basic package is only like $4 a month, and it came with a free Weebly website builder, which I have been very pleased with! If you need a great website hosting service, please check out the link. If you register under my link, you are also helping out my business!
