    take 3000 wet sand paper and make sure its wet. get a spray bottle and small sending pad. maybe a few drops of dish soap. spray away and lightly send down the affected spot. very light . after you stop wipe it dry and see what it looks like….. you will see matt paint where you sanded the spot...

    from the picture it does not look like the pad was over saturated with product. but thats just picture, i think to much pressure, heat and DA vibration and oscillation caused the pad to come apart. just a guess that pad might have been stopped for long periods and not rotating… please get more...

    well its not easy to just say what to do. test spot is your friend. what pads are you using? that black stuff might be just oxidation thats being removed. do few test spots with different compounds and pad combos and see which one will do the job best. what car is it and what year?

    I would try cutrus sticker remover. It should not remove die from leather and damage it. But be careful with enything you use. Try a tiny test spot. My first approach would be a damp rag soaked with dish detergent to soften it up and go from there. Good luck and keep us posted
