Different products. He's talking about Waterless Wash, like Optimum OptiClean. ONR, Ultima and DP are rinseless washes that still require water to use.

Start with the least aggressive method. In this case, I would say 2 oz ONR mixed with 1 gallon of sulphuric acid. Gloves highly recommended. :D

Be nice if a company could come up with synthetic bird poo that has the same pH and viscosity for these purposes. How often can you honestly say that you want a bird to do its business on your car?

Optimum Power Clean. Non acidic (AFAIK), nice smell, plus it can be used in other areas of the car. I don't think Sonax Full Effect is recommended as a leather cleaner. Just sayin. ;)

Optimum PoliSeal. Decent cut, slick as glass, great shine. Top with Collinite 845 for added durability.

Maybe it's just the angle or the sun, but would you say WG Black Diamond Tire Gel has a low gloss, satin sheen similar to OptiBond?

I use the Meg's mitt. Inexpensive yet good quality and doesn't swirl the paint. I use it with a two bucket wash with Meg's Gold Class and when doing a rinseless with ONR.

Stoner Invisible Glass. The best glass cleaner out there, $6. Duragloss Aquawax. Great shine, great beading, too easy to use, smells great, $8.99 for 22 oz.

ONR QD. For me the purpose of a QD is to remove light dust and fingerprints so cleaning ability is much more important than shine and slickness.

Back on topic, I think Optimum has actually stated that mixing 70% PoliSeal with 30% Polish II adds more cut to the PoliSeal. I haven't personally tried this but I'm sure others have.
