Seems to me this is a very large gap in the market that no company has managed to fill yet.
This is the mitt I was talking about that I now cant seem to find. It doesnt have a deep pile like some people are looking for but it also doesnt weigh 75lbs when wet and empty your bucket in 2 dips. Ultra-plush Microfiber Wash Mitt

:iagree:
Everyone talks about removing all the damage caused by not washing vehicles properly. And yet the vast majority of 'tools' are for removing all that damage and not eliminating the major source of the damage in the first place. I use 100% sheepskin mitts, tried a couple of the MF mitts and did not like how they worked. There might be better mitts but these work for me. As an aside, one set of sheepskin mitts I purchased literally disintegrated the first time I washed them in the washer ('extra-gentle’ cycle, etc.). Those did not come from AG btw!
I couldnt agree with you more. Its amazing the products that are available for removing damage but there arent many at all for preventing it. I guess if companies focused on prevention.. they would have no more business though..
This conversation parallels my thread on the lack of good quality brushes.
Well as a lot of new cars seem to have very little paint to work with; that will have to change. But, I wouldn't quite agree that most of the product lines are for removing damage; what about the 1000's of waxes, sealants, and car wash solutions? However, it is funny that the cleaning hardware is lacking, demand seems pretty huge.
I love the Raceglaze Lambswool wash mitt. Nice deep pile but not too long or big and quality is outstanding. I've had the yeti fist, DI lambswool and several OTC lambswools mitts and they dont stand a chance against the Raceglaze. I hear the Gtechniq lambswool is a bit nicer than the RG from what I've read and thats on my list of things to buy.
I sure like my RG mitts. It looked like my water level dropped almost a quart when you first put it in the bucket and remove.
