I have something COOL from Flex to Giveaway!

Wolfgang products, Menzerna etc. If it were a few years ago, I'd have said Klasse AIO.

    Collinite 476 vs 915?

Using 915 right now. I've found it applies easier and comes off better than 476. It smells better and looks better as well, especially if you have dark cars (black, navy blue) etc. It doesn't mute flake like 476 tends to do. 476 costs slightly less, and is more durable, I believe it is...

    New & Improved Griot's 6" Random Orbital

Judging by the pics on their site, especially the blown-up view, it seems that they decided it was time they stopped "rebranding" a generic DA and decided to go for custom manufacturing and design. The motor and internals remain unchanged apparently, with the only redesign being the exterior...

Griots Made a new 6in DA?!

I think there is also another clone called the Concours 900 DA. It's literally the same but it's blue instead of orange, and it bumps the motor up to 880 watts. Setec Astronomy, you could buy one from Australia if you wanted. It comes with a nice bag, and some Menzerna. I knew Griot's was...

    MASSIVE Wolfgang Giveaway! NEW Products!

For me it would have to be the new Deep Gloss Liquid Seal. I would love to try it out, seeing as how it's a great detailer/spray-on sealant. The durability factor, coupled with the UV protection sounds good, especially as I have a black car.

Collinite - not so bad after all?

Have you tried other waxes? 476 is one of the harder waxes to apply and remove. It needs to go on super thin. If you felt 476 was easy to aply and remove, you'll be astounded as to how easy other waxes are. Don't get me wrong, I love Collinite, and am currently using Collinite 915 as my go...

    Can you say...Griot's Polishers?

I'd assume they sell the PC the most, but more and more, I've seen people choose the Griot's because of the fact it is the most powerful, and that it comes with their "supposed" lifetime warranty. If only Porter-Cable paid attention to detailing forums, they'd see the business they are losing...

    Foam pads.

I imagine people who detail professionally would have an abundance of cutting and polishing pads... Myself, when I started out, I had way more cutting pads than anything else, yellow, orange etc. Now I'd say I have more white and gray pads. Once you fully detail your cars, and learn proper wash...

Mothers brand clay bar, great, ok or eh?

I'm pretty sure that no one "makes" their own clay, even under license. Auto Magic or Auto Wax has enforced their patent strongly and they always win. They've stopped tons of importers of clay made elsewhere. I'm not sure if there is any company out there that licenses the patent and makes...

Any tips on using Collonite 915?

Same... I just recently bought some 915 as well. I used a plastic butter knife and just lightly put it on a gray/black LC finishing pad. Went on great, and was easy to buff off.

Pictures & Comments from September 2012 Detailing Boot Camp

I'm surprised that the hot rod with the custom flames is in such bad shape... Keeping an eye on this thread for sure.

Mothers brand clay bar, great, ok or eh?

All clay sold in the US comes from the same company... The only difference is color, texture, grade etc. The patent will run out soon though and you'll finally see newer and better clay available. Autogeek's canadian distributor Eshine sells really good clay eShine Canada: Riccardo Clay...

    Griots random orbital

It can happen but it's more difficult to burn paint with a DA, even at the edges. Paint is thinnest there and so you definitely shouldn't let your orbital linger. Wax, especially applied with any type of finishing pad with no "cut" will not damage the edge at all. Just tape off as much and...

What is your favorite Junkman Video?

To be honest I thought Junkman worked for Adam's. Apparently reading some forums I'm guessing it's because he became too famous without being an employee. However on the Adam's forums, Adam says they paid Junkman to highlightthighlight their products on forums. Junk didn't respond though...

    Bfwdps vs wgdgps

No kidding. I personally really like Wolfgang DGPS 3.0 But a few weeks ago I got some DP poli-coat on BOGO and it's almost like the Wolfgang. Super easy to apply and remove and leaves a nice reflection. I'd really like to know the exact differences between the brands.

Interesting Observations - AW Vs. UQW

Are you talking about D156? Is it th exact same as UQW?

    really autogeek.....

But he said he accidentally clicked the faster shipping options... it's unfair for you to say Autogeek won't get any money from you and yet you use their free forum that also does not have invasive ads. John and Metropolitan Detail are doing great business but they are not in the same league in...

Interesting Observations - AW Vs. UQW

If ultimate quik wax came in bottles that were a bit bigger, I'd use it all the time. That being said, when I was in a Meguiars only phase, I would always use it as a drying aid when I knew I didn't have to fully wax again after a wash.

How many waxes are to much?

I keep it simple... no more than two different companies for any type of product unless I am trying a new one. I used to just buy tons and tons of different products etc. And eventually they would just sit there gathering dust or expire. So right now, I have collinite 915 and chemical guys...

    really autogeek.....

Shipping Information I recently had an order done... shipping was about $20ish bucks which is a bit high for my taste but I got the order shipped from Florida to Washington State in about to days. It was literally two day delivery and it was the regular ground service I always get. You have to...
