    Re Frankenstorm Sandy

Breezy Point is such an isolated community, like a barrier island on the southern side of Brooklyn. It was difficult if not impossible for fire and emergency vehicles to get accross bridge to the community during height of storm. Last I heard they were still searching to see if there were any...

    Re Frankenstorm Sandy

Have had no power and very little phone service since Monday afternoon. Minimal damage to house, though. Have no idea when electrical will be restored, but if I was to guess, sometime later in the weekend. Working off of laptop battery which is also charging cell phone, which is pretty much...

    Re Frankenstorm Sandy

Power went out for about an hour a while ago, but has been restored. Did not see a utility truck. Must have been done remotely or things just reset.

what is everyone doing to prepare for Sandy ?

Crazy. One would think that the ship would have gone into safe harbor in Pitcairn Island or something equally out of harm's way.

Ah yes, dirt. Something I haven't given enough consideration to. Thank you WickedLou. I shall give this more thought.

    Aquapel on house windows

Yes, this is a great idea also. Especially since I cannot find 303 Shower Shield on AG's or 303's website anymore.

    Aquapel on house windows

I was thinking about the cost also, but I was planning on being selective as to which windows would get the treatment. Probably french doors in the dining room and a couple of living room windows. Would like to keep them as clean and clear as possible, which would make the wife very happy. ;)

    Aquapel on house windows

I am currently thinking of buying Aquapel for the pre-winter detail of my cars. Since I am also getting my home ready for winter, I wanted to give it a try on a few of my house windows (once they are thoroughly cleaned, of course). Does anyone here have any experience with it for this...

Absolutely lovely. From a kid trashed minivan to this. Great pictures and youtube movie.

Liquid Souveran - Tips after making your purchase

I had the same experience with my large bottle. It was separated as if it had spoiled in the heat. I shook it but it didn't do that much to get it less runny. Still used it though. Seemed to work well enough.

    How are you using FUZION

Used Fuzion for the first time on my wife's 328i Saturday. It is over Menzerna Sealant. My normal procedure is to seal the car, then wax it. I will then top off the wax every month to maintain the shine and the sealant because I only plan to seal twice a year.

Best way to appply glaze on a new car.

The next time I strip my sealant and wax from my blue 328i (assuming the paint does not need correction) I will apply a coat of Black Hole before the new coat of sealant and wax.

    Really dirty wheel cleaner?

Sonax Full Effect and some Iron-X is a good combination. The wheels on my daughters BMW X-3 were sadly neglected until I got to them. They are almost 100% better now.

    M205 followed by P085RD

No, I don't think this is overkill. I have used PO106FA (SF4000) followed by PO85RD on a new 2012 BMW. Worked fine. Nice and jewelled. The car is a daily driver.
