I began working on my own car this afternoon...2010 Vivid Red Suzuki Kizashi. I went over the car tonight with my GG6, Orange CCS 5.5" pad and M105. Tomorrow, I planned on going back over the car with an Orange CCS 5.5" pad and M205. Finishing up with Menz PO85RD and a Blue CCS 5.5" Pad.

I'm wondering if this is overkill?

Thanks!

Not overkill if you understand it may not stay looking that good if it's a daily driver. Do you have any white pads? May use them with M205 if so.

No, I don't think this is overkill. I have used PO106FA (SF4000) followed by PO85RD on a new 2012 BMW. Worked fine. Nice and jewelled. The car is a daily driver.

Being that the car is my DD, I've also considered simply using Klasse AIO with a green or white pad.

I just hit my scarp hood with M105/205 and then PO85RD. I didn't see too much difference between PO85RD after 205, but that was with a gray ccs pad. It did bring the gloss up slightly.

The plan for detailing my car is wash, clay, PO85RD on a blue 3M pad, seal, then wax. I think they pad plays a big part when trying to jewel the paint.
