    work lighting?

How would you say the dual light worked out for you? I'm looking to pick up some lights for my garage as well and wasn't sure which one to go with. My main goal with these lights would be to provide a well lit work area inside of the garage, and the ability to check for swirls if I bring the...

    Good intentions, bad result...OPC Help!

Direct sunlight likes to play with my eyes, looks like new in the pictures! Now I see why OPC is regarded so highly, you just have to know how to use it :).

And here they are (after OPC 3:1 applied with MF towel, scrubbed with toothbrush, and wiped down/dried with a damp MF towel - no dressing applied)! Lesson learned :dblthumb2:

mg6045 was spot on with his 3:1 dilution + toothbrush advice. I'm sure 4:1 would have worked just as well, I just didn't have any mixed at the time - so solid suggestion on that as well Perfections :props:. I'll have a picture up shortly. The leather looks a bit malnourished after the OPC, so I...

    Good intentions, bad result...OPC Help!

Here's the after pictures. Not quite 100% where I want it, but not as much of an eyesore in direct sunlight as it was before. So I guess I can't complain too much :P. It's more noticeable in person than what I was able to capture in the pictures, and I just have this feeling that the Meg's is...

    Good intentions, bad result...OPC Help!

Yep, that's what I'm saying. The black spots appeared about 10 minutes after the "hard water" looking spots appeared. I was able to buff them out with my fingertips and they've yet to return. This was a 3:1 diluted ratio with what I believe is the "new" OPC. I made the bottle fresh this morning...

    Good intentions, bad result...OPC Help!

I had thought that too just as I pulled the trigger on the sprayer..."Damn, I should have applied this to my cloth first!". I'm not so sure about the bright areas being cleaner though...and the black spots seen in the picture are still very peculiar...and troubling. I'll give 3:1 a go using...

    Good intentions, bad result...OPC Help!

Tried a very small dab on an area that was not spotted, buffed for a few seconds, and then wiped away quickly with a damp cloth. No dye to be seen on the cloth, and no spotting left behind. EDIT: It may be worth nothing that the leather on both armrests and the center console looked to be...

    Good intentions, bad result...OPC Help!

No luck with 10:1 :( No further damage with 10:1 either though. That may be the correct dilution for the material. Still curious about how to handle the spots :). I have a crazy idea that I'm not sure will work...maybe I can steam them out? I've taken water circles out of furniture by ironing...

    Good intentions, bad result...OPC Help!

That looks like what may have happened. I went 3:1 as that is what the bottle recommended - I also wiped it off quickly and then wiped over the surface again with water so I wasn't expecting it to finish out spotty the way it did. The black specks that appeared are a mystery too, no idea what it...

    Good intentions, bad result...OPC Help!

Hello all! Just got my very first container of OPC, and figured I'd give it a whirl during my interior detail this morning. I diluted it 3:1 (75% Water/25% OPC) and had a few problem areas I wanted to try it on. I did my first test on an arm rest on the passenger side that appears to be made...

    Newbie Questions on Cleaning/Drying/Dressing Wheels

Black Onyx is actually my first dressing purchase, since it was so highly spoken of here on the forum. I also picked up some Ultima Trim and Tire Guard to supple up the rest of the rubber around the car, so I'm hoping to get a nice deep black all around to compliment the paint :buffing:

    Newbie Questions on Cleaning/Drying/Dressing Wheels

Awesome, it sounds like the terry towel was the missing link. I usually do a rinseless wash on my car weekly, so this will let me continue doing that even when I dress up the tires. Thanks guys :dblthumb2:

    Newbie Questions on Cleaning/Drying/Dressing Wheels

Still have a bunch of DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss from when it went BOGO, so I'm good on that :xyxthumbs:. Would I have to worry about residue from the OPC/Pinnacle/Rinseless if I didn't hose that area off? Or would I just have to hand dry the rubber along with the rims with a microfiber, rather...

    Newbie Questions on Cleaning/Drying/Dressing Wheels

Hey All! Next time I wash my ride I plan on cleaning and dressing my tires and rims, but I wasn't sure on the correct process to do so. My game plan sounds good on paper, but I would love to hear feedback or suggestions on how I could improve upon it. Standard Wash With a standard wash product...

Ivan's Sale: Flex 3401 vs. Griot Kit

Order placed! I backed out on the 3.5 backing plate, I didn't have enough time to sort through the 4 inch pads to get the combo I wanted. I ended up with: 1 WG-GGKITi - Griot's Garage Wolfgang Swirl Free Kit 199.99 1 CCSOEM-65GRN-2 - OEM Green Polishing/Finishing CCS 6.5 9.99...

Ivan's Sale: Flex 3401 vs. Griot Kit

Just about got it Meghan. I'm thinking I'll add in the 3 1/2 LC Backing Plate and a 6 pack of the 4 inch Lake Country Pads. Will this work out for tight spots like the A Pillar on a car? Just about ready to place the order :xyxthumbs:

Ivan's Sale: Flex 3401 vs. Griot Kit

No worries on the 3'' pads, just didn't want to have to rush something in and pick the wrong combo. Do you have a recommendation for backing plate/pad combos to handle A-Pillars and other tight areas a 6.5 wouldn't fit? Also - when you say flat Orange/Black, are you referring to the ones...
