    Air Polisher VS Rotary Polisher

The Flex PE8 Kompakt rotary polisher is a good tool for spot correction. It can be used with 3 inch, 2 inch, and even a 1 inch backing plate with corresponding pads. Get some finishing pads to eliminate any rotary holograms and you're set.

1985 Ferrari 308GTS Rosso Corsa correction and CQUK with video

Thanks guys! Yes it was original single stage paint minus the front bumper lip which was resprayed recently. A bloodbath to work with polishing wise but it didn't create any issues for me when coating.

1985 Ferrari 308GTS Rosso Corsa correction and CQUK with video

Hey everyone! I detailed a 308GTS this week and made a 5 minute video documenting the process. The video is for a film class I'm taking. First time doing a detailing video so I had some fun with it. I ended up using the Rupes LHR15 MKII and Flex PE8 + 3401. I also polished many spots by hand...

Verifying Detail Process for a 2010 Range Rover Sport (Santorini Black)

How experienced are you with applying paint coatings? I've used the BLACKFIRE Crystal Coat and found it to have a bit of a learning curve as it can be tacky to work with. I'd recommend something like Optimum Opti-Gloss or Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating if this is your first time using a coating.

    Cquartz UK Coating

This bottle is only a couple of months old. Not sure if you wanted to see the back label. I usually don't wait more than a 1 minute before wiping. I live in Texas so it never really gets too cold here. On the rare days where it's actually "cold", I wait around 2 minutes. On warmer days I can...

    Thanks Nick!!!

Very nice! I really do like the McKee's 37 lineup. New and improved formulas of the products I already like using is definitely a plus.

You know your having fun when a lot of what you shine has a matching model of it.

That's awesome Joe. I loved Christine as a kid. I always like to keep a scale model of my bigger toys :)

    Speed setting?

I run mine at speed 3 most of the time for smaller pads. Occasionally I might bump it up to 3.5 or 4.

    Toyota paint correction

Welcome! Personally I would go for a Griot's Garage 6 inch dual action polisher and swap on a 5 inch backing plate. It costs a little bit more than the Porter Cable but offers more power and a lifetime warranty from Griot's Garage. I would suggest getting at least 4 cutting pads and another 4...

    Microfiber Pad Recommendation

Ah yes that changes quite bit. Meguiar's does have a dedicated microfiber pad just for finishing. I haven't used it personally as I like to use foam for finishing but maybe someone else can chime in with their experience. My guess is that you won't notice very much difference using different...
