Love repeat customers! Customer saw me last year for a detail, this year wanted full paint correction with coating.

Car came in clean but swirled out:

Day 1 wrap up: Wheels, Tires, Engine Bay, Full Interior, aggressive wash w/ chemical & mechanical decon, paint correction with GG Fast Correction Cream, onto day 2:
Day 2: GG Perfecting Cream, Erasure, CQUK, cure, do trim, tires and engine bay while curing. Apply Reload and just like the Europe song "It's the Final Wipe Down"... Delivery.

Day 2 post polish CQUK load curing while doing trim and engine:

Nope, not much to cover on this one. I mostly used steam, but did do a gentle rinse. The key is, mitigate risk and work conservatively.
I never put more moisture into an engine bay that isn't normally there via rain or driving in the rain. It's really a mist to get the degreaser off after agitation.
In this case I used a combo steam to loosen the grime (pre-rinse) and then McKee's Engine Degreaser, agitate with speed master brush & mothers deatailing brushes then gentle rinse.

All hozes and plastic trim were treated with Blackfire AIO Tire & Trim Cleaner Protectant. All painted material was wiped with Megs D114 (1:128) then Crystal Mist. This is what I call "Trimming the Engine Bay - post cleaning".

Paint looks great! The engine compartment went through an amazing transformation as well. Great job!
