Which do you use and which one WOULD you use, if money were no object? Thanks

    Favorite all purpose cleaner

I have just been diluting Super Clean to clean areas but I wanted to try some other stuff. What do you think is the best all purpose cleaner? Thanks

    What's in your Tornador?

I have had water, dressing, APC and spray wax in mine. I just like water because of its wide range of uses.

    Carpet cleaning tip

I agree that it would do a better job than extractor in those areas but it is still best to remove the moldings. Then you can get all the gravel and other junk that is underneath. I am thinking of getting a vapor cleaner.

    Microfiber cleaning comparision

Same here. I use Tide soap and if the towels are really dirty I will add a little Super Clean. Seems to work.

    6.5's or 5.5's Flex 3401

What backing plate do you use for 4" pads? All I saw was the 4 3/8 plate.

    Carpet cleaning tip

When I clean auto carpet I like to remove the plastic covers and moldings so I can get ALL the carpet clean. I hate that area next to the hood release and piece you step on getting in and out of the vehicle. I think it looks bad if all the carpet is cleaned except a little line next to the...

    What's in your Tornador?

If you only had one Tornador and could only choose one liquid in it, what would it be? I pretty much just have water in mine. That way I have a broader range of places to use it. I blast out interior crevices and also use it on the exterior badges and other surfaces. How about you?

I feel like I scare possible customers away

I usually will not give a quote until I have seen the car. I will say the price STARTS at.... so they at least know the minimum cost. One way you could help yourself is to mention what they are actually getting with their purchase. Like all the prep work-wash, clay, etc. Let them know that...

    Flex backing system

Yeah, I may just get a 4 inch plate and pad and be done with it.

    Flex backing system

I have a Flex 3401 DA and want to buy a backing plate so I can use smaller pads. Anyone using the changeable backing system by Lake County? Can you tell me if it is worth getting? Thanks

    Interpreting your pad

Hey Mike, I was wondering how to interpret my pad while buffing. Like if there is build up of product in a certain area, what does it mean? Or if it looks worn in one spot, and if it turns black from maybe rubbing on some trim or something, is it okay to keep buffing. Anything you can offer...

    Meguiars PlastX

I either use a finger foam pad (made for wheels) or just put it on the corner of a microfiber towel and rub in. It adds a nice touch to a vehicle that looks new again. sometimes you look at the speedometer etc and the plastic window is so scratched or hazy and doesn't match the freshly...

    Meguiars PlastX

I like using it on the instrument panel. It makes it look invisible. I also use it on plastic wood grain too.

How do you know when to stop buffing?

Mike, yeah I was always so nervous about 'burning through' before that I never got deep enough to get the best results. By doing some reading and watching videos I feel a lot more confident now AND am realizing just how much there is to know about paint correction. I think the right...

    Wash and Wax?

My point wasn't to be critical of the wax aspect of the wash and wax but to question whether the wax interferes with the wash. If a waxed surface pushes water (and soap) away from the paint then it makes sense to say that the soap and water are not allowed to do their job? At least not as...

    Favorite interior dressing

I ordered some 303. I was kind of looking for a more economical, all purpose protectant. It is too expensive using Pinnacle/Poorboy's on door seals, tires, etc. I typically apply the product directly to the microfiber towel and sometimes I mist it on with Tornador. Thanks for all the...

    Favorite interior dressing

Thanks for the responses. Just to add to the discussion, what do you guys look for in a good interior dressing (UV protection, finish, cost, range of use, etc)?

    Favorite interior dressing

What do you like to use on the dashboard and door panels? I have used all sorts of products but have usually been buying Lexol Vinylex and Poorboy's World Natural Look Dressing. Wolfgang is good and so is Pinnacle. I like a matte finish and the Vinylex is a bit shiny/greasy. I am willing...
