    Tips for interior stains?

You could try renting a carpet cleaner with an upholstery tool from your local superstore. Hot water, a good upholstery cleaner and your wet vac might also do the trick. Folex from home depot or Lowes is a great stain remover that you might look for. You could also see if AG runs any steamers...

Blower: DP Turbo Car Dryer or Metro Commander?

Thinking of adding a car dryer to my list of tools/toys to speed the drying process. Any advice for choosing between the DP Turbo Dryer and the Metro Air Force Commander?

    Interior cleaning questions

I've also heard good things about Woolite in a 10% solution, and I personally use all purpose cleaner at a 10% solution for my business. At those dilutions, smell is likely to be a non-issue. As jsgn said, almost all automotive leather is coated to be very durable. With perforated seats (and...

    Review: Metro Blaster SideKick Professional

Intrigued by this product. Can anyone compare to the slightly more expensive Metro Commander or the DP Turbo dryers? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Steam cleaning your car

Search "vapamore " for lots of threads with advice. If you're just starting out, you can find cheaper options like the McCulloch MC1275. IMO, great for sticky messes, but just one tool. Won't replace elbow grease and the right chemicals for a job. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Cats jumping / sleeping on cars

The problem is when you miss, the bullet hole doesn't buff out. [emoji3]

Cats jumping / sleeping on cars

I taped a flannel bedsheet to the underside of a tarp. Put tarp on hood, hold down with a water jug to prevent sliding and marks on hood. To keep cats off, try bowl of citrus which they hate. If you can catch them on hood, a spray bottle with water can hit them from 10-feet

Applying CQuartz UK at 103 Degrees?!?

Last weekend with temps in the high 80s, I was having to wipe off in 90 seconds and still had some streaks. If the first small panel doesn't go well, can you reschedule?

    Coffee and Cars - Help!

Dampen with your favorite stain remover and thoroughly suck out liquid with the most powerful wet vac you can find. Try not to saturate to keep out of the seat foam. Good luck.

    Interior Detail. Steam and Extractor.

Well NCS, I was actually agreeing with your post #14, and speaking from personal experience. Used the vac method while saving up for my Mytee extractor. There are lots of successful folks with different effective methods. You're welcome to yours.

    Client Complaining Windows Weren't Cleaned

I'd probably re clean the window, and before leaving have the customer inspect it. A small make good for a steady customer seems reasonable

    Interior Detail. Steam and Extractor.

Hot water in a pressure sprayer and a wet vac with a narrow "duck foot" nozzle can get passably close to an extractors results. That said, I'll agree with those saying a hot water extractor is almost a necessity for Cheerio encrusted mom taxis and other disasters.

    Microfiber Rejuvenator

FWIW, I also can't get rid of some stains. Maybe I should be better at using dark towels for greasy areas

The infamous question: "How much do you charge for a detail?"

You might try asking these people what they want done. If the answer leads to a "splash and dash" kind of detail, you can at least give them your price for their desired service.

    Buisness name thoughts

Have you looked to see which domain names are available? I wouldn't choose a name that didn't at least have a .biz available. Preferably a .com for easier listings on Google maps, yelp, etc.

Boy Scouts Troop 840 - Award to Autogeek for Automotive Merit Badge

Nice thing the AG folks did. Good to explain the evils of automatic washes and DISO earlym

Companies should give out more free samples

Agree..when I was starting out, the AG samples were a huge help as was the trading thread. Probably a pain for manufacturers to handle, but can definitely get me to try a product I wouldn't buy in a larger bottle.

    Detailing in Michigans Winter

Picture? Can you catch your fingernail in the scratch? See white primer below? Do you have any compounds already? If the answer to all is no, and the scratch is in the clear you can at least knock it down with Meguiars Ultimate Compound, the retail version of M105. Follow that up with something...

    Inexpensive steam cleaner/extractor?

Sounds like the coffee soaked through the carpet and may be wicking up from the padding. So many attempts may be needed. Depending on where the stain is, might consider pulling up the carpet to get under the carpet to the pad for faster removal.
