I am new as I just joined. I have seen many videos on You Tube of how to clean your car by using steam Primary the Optima steamer. Any thoughts on this and can it be a substitute instead of using traditional soap & water. What are the pro & cons to this method?

The con is spending 7 thousand dollars on a machine that you don't know is going to be longer or shorter on a detail

waste of time and money use good old fashion elbow grease.

Search "vapamore " for lots of threads with advice. If you're just starting out, you can find cheaper options like the McCulloch MC1275.

IMO, great for sticky messes, but just one tool. Won't replace elbow grease and the right chemicals for a job.

Elbow grease uses more time, which is money to me. Steamers have their functions if you know how and when to use them. They won't replace all of the other tools.

I will guarantee elbow grease is faster,I would have done front passenger area already while you are waiting for that to heat up.With the chemicals you can zip thru a interior in 1 hr or less.Steamers maybe good for stains,I don't have the time to zig zag back and fourth for 10 min to clean a seat,if you like it buy it.
