    What did I do wrong?

Thanks for the reply. 1) I was indoors. It was Chrome panel. Since it was a bit hot, I did turn the fan on. 2) Pad was brand new. Used for the first time. I think fan was culprit. :bash:

    What did I do wrong?

Newbie to polishing. I recently got SF 4000 and did a test spot. These are the following steps that I undertook... 1) Clean the area. 2) Dried it 3) Put the product on the Orange County power pad (Hand applicator). Spread the product on the area, but it felt a little dry. 4) Put on little...

    M105/M205 on good paint.

If I was you, I would use Menzerna SF 4000 or use Poorboy's White Diamond Glaze. Menzerna SF 4000 can take care of 3000 sand grit marks (hope I said that correctly!), Poorboy's is non-abrasive, can mask minor imperfections and must be topped with a wax like Collinite 845. But thats me, and I'm...

Too cold to wax a car?

From Collinite 845 application instruction. "Avoid applying in direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures (over 80 degrees F or less than 55 degrees F). Surface temperatures should be, or feel lukewarm-room temperature to the touch. Do not apply if surface feels cold or hot to the touch." Hope...

    Collinite 845

Just curious... Is it of any use to apply anything above 845? I mean will it even stick? Sealant on top of wax is waste isn't it? Does quick detail er contain abrasive, wont that reduce life of 845? How does spray wax work? Can it be layered on old wax layer? wont it just slip off? Newbie...

    Bicyclist Rant

Did the red flashing light bother you in any way? Sometimes light flashes right into eyes of driver coming from behind. It sort of blinds the driver. I have seen lights that are so bright, one can nearly see it from a 1 or half away. As you get closer and closer, light just get brighter and bigger.

    Menzerna SF4000 vs Gtechniq P1/P2

I will say this, I don't know much about polishing stuff. But when I started looking for polish, I wanted to buy Nano polish. From what I 've read, nano polish fills the paint better than convention polish. Thats only reason why I was looking at nano polish. Any polish, working on it by hand...

    Menzerna SF4000 vs Gtechniq P1/P2

Can someone give me rough idea how much (in ML) quantity of polish is required for polishing a hatchback that require little correction/nothing major? Menzerna SF 4000 here is only available in 32 Oz bottle. Since I will polishing by hand, I doubt I will be able to do it more than once a year...
