I thought the issue with "normal" detergents is residual on the towels. The MF detergents go after oils, waxes, sealants and other specific automotive chemicals vs a general all purpose laundry detergent.

It's always easier to quote $60, then if the lens isn't that bad or only takes you 10 minutes to fix, tell the customer is was an easier job than expected, and reduce your price. Vs. quote $20 and it takes you 40 minutes a side to fix them!!! One method has a happy customer the other doesn't!!!

I found a before and after pic from my Mazda. This is after two applications (only 1 kit) and a compound, polish, wax. Up close you could tell, but @ 5ft away, not a chance. Just take you time and practice on one chip. Get that perfect, then apply your knowledge :-)

^. Completely agree! My older Mazda 6 was a hwy chip magnet. Doctor Color Chip was my savior. It just takes some practice, but a good product as a good price.

I've had great luck with 3m's. Goo gone has been hit and miss for me.
