Future corrections depend on how well your paint holds up. Meaning if you do a careful wash and no rocks come flying at you then you should be good. If, however, an accident occurs you would use a polishing compound to polish the entire panel, remove all oil fillers, and reapply once the panel...

From my observation with Opti-Coat 2.0 it would not be beneficial from a cleaning standpoint. My reason is because I used to use BFWD and the car would attract a lot of dust. Now that I have Opti-Coated my car the paint repels the dust. Also, I want to add that I am new and never really waxed...

I usually add an ounce to the bottle. If I feel it needs more foam I will add a little more the next time. This concentration did not strip my sealant I had on it. However, now that I have opti-coat I use more of it for its cleaning properties.

I really like it, more so than duragloss 901/902. I feel its slicker and cleans better. Also works great on the foam cannon as the other poster above mentioned. just make sure to dilute it appropriately.

Great post because my Dad has the same truck and I have been procrastinating doing it. Also, the fact that he lives in Palm Springs, CA with 115F heat doesn't motivate me. Would you say the paint is hard clear? This is what I have been reading from this GMC model. Thanks.

I naturally never do this which surprises me. I didn't realize I had good clean practice.I never set it on the ground. I place it on a small step ladder. :)

Great question as I will now use CG Citrus Wash and Clear for its cleaning power and great lubricity.

:iagree: I was worried about dust as well because I live in a very windy area so I opted to apply it in the garage. If your car is black you can see the flashing/application much more easier than a white/beige/silver car. Just use a compressor to blow out dust. PS: I applied Opti-Coat to my car...

Thanks S2K, I know what you mean about black cars and scratches. My car is older now than when I first got it (initially bought it 2 years used) and I see a lot more G's on the road but they have really hammered paint. Mine still looks new thanks to Autogeek, muhahahahahahaha, j/k.
