Best wash, clay and quick wax system for the cheap customers?

I didn't read all the posts but I'll say this. In a nut shell skip the clay. If the customer is cheap then they most likely don't value quality. Sad to say but the majority of people won't notice the difference any way. I love my nanoskin but I only use it if I'm doing some sort of polishing...

how do you handle customers like this?

Simply put I wouldn't do any more freebies. The very first detail I did for pay I gave a bunch of freebies. It was a Kia Rio and I was so hungry for business I thought that if I under charged and over delivered I'd be sure to get referrals. Long story short a wash and wax + quick interior turned...

Am I crazy or is this Craiglist ad ridiculous

So I weekly check competition on craiglist just to see what every one else is charging and what not. Well about 10 min ago i came across this ad. Normally I just briefly read through them but when i saw $14 dollars for a wash i knew i should read the whole thing. I then see $49 for a wash...

Water spots on top of Opti-coat

Yup spotless will do the trick. Every avid detailer either hobbiest or professional should have a bottle of it. It works quick and easy and actually lives up to its claims. Plus its super cheap.

How Do I know what polish/pads to use? So many options!!

Yeah it was my sister's car. She's always washed it with a rag and dish soap and dried it with a towel. If she was in a hurry she would run it through a drive through car wash. Best part is she washed it maybe at best once a month. I mainly did the detail to see how much of a turn around I could...

How Do I know what polish/pads to use? So many options!!

^That is exactly what I was going to say. Wolfgang products def live up to their claims. Here is a side by side comparison of what Wolfgang polishes can do. Btw this car was the WORST I've ever seen in person before I polished it. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using AG Online

Swirls returned or I did not do a good job. What to do now?

On some cars is just the nature of the beast. My ram for instance, I''ve polished it countless times to a mirror finish and every time I was it I'll find light scratches here and there. I assure you there are no fillers to my knowledge in TSR 3.0 Today I did a detail on a black Mercedes. Here...

    wax question

It took me a while to jump on the colinite band wagon because im a type of person that when every one is going left i go right. But im so glad i did. I was very skeptical so when i put it on my black truck i was very critical and had my expectations very low. However, it has hands down the best...

    Consumer-friendly Headlight restoration

My favorite kit is the 3M one. However, I recently discovered Wolfgang uber compound and a MF wax applicator does a pretty damb good job. Here's a terrible pic using just Wolfgang compound on the left light. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using AG Online

Cost effective rust/oxidation remover for chrome?

You know Bob I used this a while back on a 8" drop down tow hitch I had on my f350. It worked very well. I forgot what the name of it was though so I'm glad you said it. I'm gonna pick some up tomorrow thank you. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using AG Online

I'm a weirdo with MF towels. If I ever have to ask my self that question I consider the towel ruined. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using AG Online

What type of clay system do you use, regular clay bar, fine clay bar, nanoskin claybar style handmit?

I used regular megs mild clay forever. Since I used a nanoskin I don't think I'll ever go back. Unless I was working on a car over $100k then I'd use clay. Reason being is I feel clay is a little less aggressive on the paint. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using AG Online

Thanks for the write up. I think we all can agree that there are a few different types of ppl on here. Hobbyist, detailers, and then those aspiring to be one or the others. If this guy wants to write up something that he's tried and it saves him time and delivers results in his eyes then...
