Boris what are you using as a sealer? Assuming it's the spar/mineral spirits mix?

    Headlight Restoration Finishing Polish

I wet sand them using my griots 3" DA. Usually start with 3000 grit and work my way down from there depending upon how bad the headlights are. Once the sanding is complete I'll use my rotary, a 3" med-heavy cutting pad and some M105. Then follow that up with a finishing pad and some M205. Then...

    permaplate???

Check out their website. Don't want to link to it here since it's against forum rules. But if you google permaplate you will find their site. They offer coatings for everything...leather, paint, windows, metal, etc. Never used them nor heard of them before this. But figured you could answer...

I need help Like right NOW! (Opti Coat)

I've had this happen several times when I first started using OC/OG. It could be a number of things. It could be 1 high spots...a quick buff will level these surfaces with no issues. Or it could be that you didn't remove all the polishing oils prior to applying it. This has been my biggest...

    69 Mustang Mach 1 - Pic heavy

He said he was going to get some touch up paint for the burn throughs. I told him that probably wasn't going to work too well. But it's his car. As far as the hood, I think he's just going to keep it that way.

    69 Mustang Mach 1 - Pic heavy

Thanks Bob! The burn through areas stayed the same. Every gap and panel edge was taped off before any compounding was done. And I kept the tape on the areas that had burn through when I did my secondary polish to ensure no further damage. Thanks! Thanks! I love working on classic cars. It's...

I have one and paid double that. If the machine is in good working order, then I'd jump on it if you want it.

    69 Mustang Mach 1 - Pic heavy

And the afters - Going to apologize it was a rainy day so no real sun shots. I had to wait for the rain to slow to get the car out of the garage so I could even get the pics. You'll notice some rain drops in the pics. Thanks for reading!

    69 Mustang Mach 1 - Pic heavy

This car was restored at a body shop/restoration center. The job they did with the paint was sub-par for a classic like this. There are sanding marks in the primer throughout the entire car. The roof was especially bad. There was a good amount of sanding marks left from the wet sand and buff...

    Carrand Tire Dressing Applicator

Nice review. I use a combo of foam applicators and the brush type. I find the brush is great for the initial application as you can get in all the ribs and contours of the tire. Then I follow that up with the foam application to spread it out evenly and wipe up any excess.

Do you list prices on your website?

I have gone back and forth with this. I started by not listing them and did get a lot of calls about pricing. So, I added a range of prices for awhile. Actual phone calls asking for pricing dropped, which at the time I thought was a good thing. I just updated my site again and removed my...

    How to check

I've had good luck on light colored cars such as silver, white, etc using a halogen light in a dark garage. I put the light at the front of the car pointing towards the front and then stand at the back end and look down the side. Usually this works for me. I find that looking at the sun or...
