I use it as one whole system with rupes 21es + pad + and UHS polish and I get great result every time. works great for soft paint as well. at first, I was worreid about really rough pad as well, but trust me. you will be happy with it.

For mine, it doesn't really shoot out steam as much.... it looks more like shooting some wind and then see little cloud and keep repeating if that makes sense. I did get used one off amazon maybe I will return this and get a new one.
